Last Friday we held our second quarterly meeting of the year, celebrating growth and the exciting changes within the company.

A few takeaways from the day:

✅Our vision statement: “To be the leading force in Safety and Compliance, protecting lives and property with innovation, integrity and excellence.
While fostering a culture where our employees are valued, empowered and inspired to grow.”

✅The technical and operational teams will be expanding, welcoming new members on board, and promotions given where deserved

✅Staff will be given greater support with continuing professional development training and attaining industry recognised qualifications

✅In-Line Safety’s continuous business plan shows the pathway for becoming a leading force in fire safety whilst developing a workplace where employees feel valued and inspired

So it was that time of year where we celebrated another year of In-Line Safety on our Christmas Staff Social…this time in Madeira🎄✨

Over the last year, the team has grown significantly to continue to provide our clients with knowledgeable and affordable health & safety services. A huge well done to everyone’s passion and energy into making this year another successful one to remember!🎉

A messsge from our client relationship manager, Joss, about training he did last week😀…

In my spare time I really enjoy rock climbing and hiking up tall, precipitous mountains.

I am looking forward to assisting Matt in an upcoming safety line assessment in Southampton. To make sure I am fully prepared for this, I have recently undertaken training with Jules for working at height here in the office. During my training, I familiarised myself with some new PPE such as harnesses, unlike the climbing harnesses I am used to, these ones go over the shoulders as well. I learned how to use the Arriana and Evolution safety line systems, best working practices, and what it means to work in fall restraint and fall arrest.

Now that I have completed my training, I am looking for to my trip to Southampton later on this month.

This time last week our senior health & safety consultant, Steve, was down by the coast in sunny Torquay carrying out a compartmentation survey on a block of flats 🌊

Despite being based in the south east we cover other parts of the country too!

Meet Yasmin, our newest member to join the ILS operations team as our second client relationship manager. Yas comes from a fashion and beauty background, working as an account manager, but is excited for the challenges in the world of fire safety.

Fun fact from Yas: “I nearly got trampled by a baby elephant in Thailand 🐘”

This was Matt’s (our health and safety consultant) view for a few days whilst he carried out site visits down in Southampton, testing safety lines on rooftops👷🏻‍♂️🌊

Alongside compliance, it is important that safety lines are checked for their safety and are cleaned in the event of any work needing to be carried out on the roof whilst protecting those working at height.

This week our project manager Emma went out on site with Chris and Dean who were carrying out Fire Door Inspections🚪

This included looking at:

✔️The overall condition of the door
✔️Checking frames, hinges and seals
✔️Measuring any gaps between the doors, frames and floor
✔️Ensuring closers are functional and efficient
✔️Seeing that new door sets are in good working order
✔️Checking that doors are certified fire doors with details provided

Our most recent quarterly team meeting day!!

This time followed by clay pigeon shooting before dinner and drinks. A lot of fun and great effort from the team!!😃Well done to those who received trophies for Most improved top gun, Group A + B Winners and the losing spoon👏 🏆 🥄
