Wow - this has been a challenge. In my search to find excercise that takes littke time but has maximum impact, I decided to try sprint interval training. Having not sprinted for quite some time this certainly was interesting!
I think the biggest barrier was psychological. Fear of falling or just looking like a right so so with all the youngsters training on the track. The first run was quite a challenge using muscles not used for many years! And the weight of my body thudding down with every stride 🤣. 4 days after my legs were in agony! But now, some runs down the line, they don’t hurt at all.
There’s a noticeable boost to mental clarity and it’s great to get the heart going. It’s actually feels great especially after quite a few years of struggling with menopause. It’s good to try new things.
Maybe give it a go? (Carefully!)
