Losing by wining

In most interactions, you're capable of winning. If you push hard enough, kick someone in the shins, throw a tantrum, cheat a little bit or a lot, putting it all at stake, you might very well get your way.

But often, this sort of winning is actually losing.
That's because we rarely have an interaction only once, and we often engage with people we know, where reputation and connection are at stake.

Culture, it turns out, is built on people losing in the short run on behalf of the long-term win.
Connection and trust and reputation are worth more than any single inning.
Not to mention that a tantrum not only ruins the relationship, it can ruin your day as well.

People with the pathological obsession for wining blindly put at risk their personal wealth, spiritual peace and even their own reputation,at the end, they always lose and sadly never learn...

Lovely evening at Putney Food Assembly. A tasting evening this time so I had the chance to sample some other producers' products. And finally I remembered to order some things in advance! Yoghurt from Coombe Farm Organic, cheese from High Weald Dairy, and awesome Kombucha from Thirsty House as well as a beautiful Mackerel Pate from The Fresh Fish Shop. And so much more to try next time. Great to meet new customers and some of the really wonderful people who care about what we eat and drink and make it all happen. Five stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
