My maternal grandmother, Violet Alice Pugh, maiden name Johnson. Today, 11 Feb 2022, she would have been 121 years old. This photograph of her was taken on her 21st birthday, 100 years ago today and I am so lucky to have the original. ❤️

So I couldn’t wait any longer and went to The National Archives to check out some 1921 Censuses.
The very first one managed to break down a brick wall I had had for more than 10 years and didn’t think I would ever solve whilst in the end I managed to knock down 3 brick walls and create two more queries - that was just looking at my four grandparents who were all with their individual families (not having married in 1921).
So happy.
