We have been working hard on putting together a fun and informative Children’s Eyecare Event over 2 days to promote the importance of children’s eyecare, featuring our exclusive eyewear collections and in our boutique children’s eyewear gallery, offering exclusive discounts on the day 🍦😎

There will be presentations highlighting the benefits of myopia control for young eyes. Myopia, or nearsightedness, is becoming more prevalent in young children due to increased screen time and lack of outdoor activities.
And what better way to cool off during the event than with some delicious ice cream for all the little ones (and maybe even the parents too 😉) and refreshing drinks from our friendly neighbours

At Wood Street Opticians, we pride ourselves in offering a variety of stylish and durable children’s eyewear options that are both functional and fashionable. From colourful frames to durable materials, we have something to suit every child’s personality and needs.

I am thrilled to announce that I will be speaking at the upcoming Menopause Symposium on Saturday 29th June, organised by the amazing , to help bring awareness to the topic of menopause. Menopause is a natural transition that all women go through, yet it is often a topic that is not discussed enough. I am honored to be able to shed light on how menopause can affect dry eyes, a common eye care concern among peri-menopausal and menopausal women.

Dry eyes can be a bothersome and uncomfortable condition, yet many women may not even realise that it is related to menopause. By sharing my insights and knowledge on this topic, I hope to help empower women to recognise the signs and symptoms of dry eyes during this stage of life.

I am looking forward to joining the awesome lineup of fellow esteemed guest speakers at the Menopause Symposium. Especially alongside my superstar colleague Rubina who’s works alongside me as a lead Optometrist. It is truly inspiring to see so many passionate individuals coming together to educate and support women during this important life transition. I am eager to engage with the audience and share my expertise on this important topic.
