🎬 Cinema Outing!

We’re excited to share a special moment. Our care worker Jonathan took our service user, also named Jonathan, out for a long-awaited trip to the cinema!

It had been years since Jonathan A had been able to enjoy a movie on the big screen and this outing was truly memorable. They watched Alien and Aliens back-to-back, over 5 hours of sci-fi thrills and popcorn! 🍿👽

Celebrating Alie's 107th Birthday 🎉🎂🎈

This month, we have the joy of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone, Alie is turning 107 years young!

We had the pleasure of visiting Alie at her home last week, where she shared her wonderful sense of humour, fascinating stories and the things that bring her joy. Meeting Alie, you’d never guess her age, her spirit is as vibrant as someone decades younger.

Alie spoke fondly of her life in Holland while also visiting stories during World War II and her journey to England with her husband and children after the war. Over the past 50 years, she has lived in various parts of the UK, eventually settling in London, where she has made her home.

Despite all the years, Alie remains deeply connected to her Dutch roots, she still enjoys hagelslag on toast, a beloved Dutch treat. Spending the morning with her offered a glimpse into the world through her eyes.

Alie has been part of the Hartwig Care family since 2013 and it’s inspiring to see her thriving at home, maintaining her independence.
