Story time…
A patient came in last week with this book she had made to keep a written record of her training and to take notes in our session as we reviewed and progressed her program.
I was so proud, the progress she has made over the years I have been working with her is 100% due to her consistent effort to show up, learn and want to improve.
It inspired me to share this post to highlight to importance of teaching not just treating.
Patient education is such a key component of exercise rehabilitation and as practitioners we have a responsibility to teach our clients so that they stay engaged and empowered to continue their movement journey.
