Growing awareness for IDD Spine Clinics - when a clinic becomes an IDD provider we create a database of GPs and consultants. We produce and print personalised clinic leaflets and make an info pack for doctors. Now, we donât mail 10 letters to a single doctorâs surgery.
But we do make a letter for each doctor. These then go in the blue pack. Thus in each pack there are multiple letters for individual doctors which inform that there is a non-invasive solution locally for patients with unresolved disc pathologies.
In this mailing there are 140 letters going to doctors in West Sussex.
Now some practice managers may throw the whole pack in the bin. But, the solution of a comprehensive non-invasive rehab programme is surely more attractive than pain management, injections and surgery. Unless youâre a drug rep of course.
We do this mailing, not in the expectation necessarily that we get referrals, but because patients finding IDD Therapy will ask their doctor or consultant.
So it is important they have awareness.
This is in part how we evolve, past the idea of traction to an understanding that IDD Therapy is new and that spinal decompression can help clear doctors waiting rooms. And more importantly give genuine hope to patients that they can get their life back.
You may see snippets about IDD, you may still be in the camp of âitâs traction and traction doesnât workâ, or you may go in google scholar and think it needs more evidence before you can judge, if you are in those camps then fair enough. But if you are following what is happening, keep an open mind.
There is no snake oil, no emperors new clothes or any other cliche I have heard, itâs real and IDD Therapy is changing lives.
Not the elixir, not a cure all but unbelievable all the same.
Spine care is changing, weâre not doing this for the fun of it. Thanks team for putting these mailings together. Steve
