Squats are more than just a lower-body workout, they’re a powerhouse movement that promotes muscle growth throughout the body. By engaging major muscle groups like the quads, hamstrings, and glutes, along with the core, lower back, and even the upper back for stability, squats demand a huge amount of effort from the body.

This high level of muscle recruitment stimulates the release of anabolic hormones such as testosterone and growth hormone, which support overall muscle development, not just in the legs. Because squats are functional, mimicking everyday movements like standing, lifting, and climbing, they also improve strength for daily activities.
