The Hatha Yoga Pradipika states that Nauli stimulates the digestive fire, thereby removing toxins, indigestion, and constipation. It is considered a Shat Karma, which is an internal cleansing to aid with excess phlegm, mucus, or fat. Great reasons to do it regularly๐Ÿ˜

I'm like the tortoise in the story. Making steady (and what sometimes seems very slow) progress, I learned very early on in my practise that consistent applied effort beats rushing to get into the pose for the sake of it. ๐Ÿข๐Ÿฆš Inversions challenge my ability to stay calm during moments that I feel out of control and they teach me to trust in myself, not just the outer strength but the inner discipline that it takes to keep going through hard times.

When I first started yoga, I had ZERO upper body strength. ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸฝI enjoy a playful practise and some days I have plenty of energy and others are a struggle, I have learned to honour my mind, body and spirit in all it's phases, the 'good, 'bad' & 'ugly' after all they are only someone's opinions. Without comparison... everything JUST IS ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’•
