Our latest research confirms that our "Medi-Daith" has some fantastic long-term results. 2-4 months after their piercing, 88% reported their migraines were still improved.

This including 72% who reported they had “stopped” or were “much better”).
Quantitatively, their migraine days reduced by 69%, and, very importantly, any migraines they still had were greatly reduced in both severity and duration:-
1. Days in Bed were reduced by 73% from 3.1 to 0.8 days/month
2. Completely Symptom-Free Days were increased by 71% from 9.8 to 16.7 days/month
3. The great majority reported that the effect after 2-4 months was just as great as just after the piercing

Try GINGER for your migraines
There's recent research that ginger may help reduce the severity of a migraine attack. You can use it fresh or dried and it can help both the headache and the nausea & vomiting.
Either make some tea with hot water or you can stir a small teaspoon of dried ginger into a glass of cold water, let it settle, and drink the 'ginger juice' if that tastes better.
Try it and let us know how you get on. And have an excellent Christmas, from all at LMC

You can read the whole research paper here

This article outlines the scientific evidence for ginger in reducing migraine pain and associated nausea and considers its potential use as a home remedy.

A post from Nicola Bhojani

Just a positive story from me.... I had my Daith Pierced back in 2017 because of horrendous migraines since having my daughter (may be a hormone imbalance).

Found immediate benefits, migraines turned into just a bad headache, which were so much more manageable.

My first piercing took over a year to heal, but then I had problems with a flare up which was just painful. I decided to remove the piercing... and guess what... migraines came back in full force.

I quickly got my daith repierced, and migraines improved again. One year on from 2nd piercing, it has healed beautifully and my migraines are so much milder and less frequent.

Few things from me:
1. Don't give up... these piercings do take longer to heal.
2. Don't play, fiddle, poke your piercing. I literally used a soaked tissue of salt water every couple of days, pressed lightly against my ear.
3. I found a titanium curved bar works best. Hoops can catch so much easier. The curved bar felt more comfortable.
4. I changed my bar a few months ago for a slightly shorter one. This was only because it had healed and I got the lovely Alison Milward and her hubby to change it for me as couldnt face pulling it myself (and wanted to ensure it was fitted tightly).

Honestly, I always recommend any suffering friends to at least try the piercing. I know its not for everyone, but for me it has worked. And I no longer have to knock myself out with prescribed migraine drugs.

Be patient and be kind to your piercing (leave it to heal alone).

Best wishes x
