When things don't go to plan, at least our wonderful neighbours at MILK provide feel good food and relaxation.
Because sometimes health means somethings as simple someone else looking after you for just a moment.

If you haven't been at MILK, it's about time, because you've been missing out 😝

Meet Jo and her 5 Elements Acupuncture Approach to bring relief and comfort to your life.

Jo Llewellyn practises Five Element Acupuncture, and she’d like to give you a sense of what that really means in a session.

Five Element Acupuncture looks at the whole person — how your body feels, how your emotions move, and the deeper patterns that shape your day-to-day resilience.
It works through the five natural elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
Most people have one element that plays a bigger role in their wellbeing, and when it slips out of balance, it tends to show across both body and mood.

During a treatment, Jo pays close attention to the subtler details your system shows without effort — your pulse, the tone in your voice, the colour in your face, and the shifts in your energy.
These small clues help her understand which element needs support and how your system is compensating.

Her focus isn’t on quick symptom-patching.
It’s on helping your body and emotions settle into a steadier, more balanced rhythm — the kind that makes daily life feel less heavy and more manageable.

Jo also works with moxibustion — gently warming acupuncture points with moxa.
It’s a traditional technique that encourages circulation, eases tension and supports the body’s natural energy in a deeply calming way.

People see Jo for stress and burnout, emotional strain, digestive discomfort, menstrual or menopausal changes, fatigue, disrupted sleep, and those times when something just feels off and needs understanding rather than guesswork.

Her approach is personalised, attentive and rooted in the belief that your system knows exactly what it needs — it just needs the right support to find its balance again.

Ever feel like your body is sending you gentle suggestions… or, let’s be honest, passive-aggressive WhatsApps?
Bloating. Energy crashes. Random aches. Mood dips. Sleep that works only “when it feels like it.”

Most people don’t connect these dots with nutrition — because why would you? Life is busy, food is… food, and Google gives 3,000 contradictory answers before lunch.

That’s where proper, personalised nutritional support comes in.
No fads. No detox nonsense.
Just evidence-based guidance that can help with things like:
✔ steadying energy
✔ supporting digestion
✔ balancing hormones
✔ reducing inflammation
✔ improving overall wellbeing

Our nutritionists, Tanya & Claire, work with your body rather than against it — helping you understand what’s actually going on and what small changes can make the biggest difference.

If you’ve never tried nutritional therapy, don’t worry — most people come in thinking,
“Food can’t possibly be the missing piece…”
…and leave saying,
“…oh. Actually, it might be.”

Curious? Come have a chat.

🔍 For the sceptics: Key Evidence (summarised, ASA-safe)

Balanced dietary patterns (Mediterranean-style) are associated with improved cardiovascular health, metabolic health, and lower systemic inflammation (multiple systematic reviews).

Nutrition interventions can support digestive conditions such as IBS when used appropriately (e.g., low FODMAP under professional guidance — NICE recommendations).

Dietary changes influence energy regulation and mood via glucose stability, micronutrient sufficiency, and gut–brain interactions (BMJ, Lancet Psychiatry reviews).

Evidence supports nutrition’s role in hormone-related symptoms (e.g., PCOS, perimenopause) through blood sugar regulation and micronutrient support (Cochrane & NICE-referenced studies).

Health doesn't always mean, exercise, nutrition.
Sometime it means letting go and let someone else look after you instead.
Treat yourself or a loved one to some down time.

Sarah will make you feel so pampered you won't want to leave.

Self care can take so many forms. What's your little thing that you are going to chose for yourself today ? Let us know in the comments, we'd love to hear it. And who knows, you might inspire someone else to take a little me-time today.

We are trying something new.

Just a simple self care reminder each week.

Most people's lives are so full of responsibilities and to do lists, that often self care becomes very hard.

We are so drilled to look outside, what needs doing outside of us, that we put ourselves last far too often.

We want to see if we can support you in more ways than just offering Qigong and Meditation, we know that when you practice them, they are amazing self care and self discovery tools, but what good are they if we never get round to doing them.

Ask yourself:

WHAT SMALL THING CAN I DO THIS WEEK TO LOOK AFTER MYSELF?
WHEN IS MY PERSONAL BEST OPPORTUNITY TO DO THAT SMALL THING FOR MYSELF?
Here comes the inevitable uncomfortable part:

WHAT EXCUSE AM I LIKELY TO MAKE TO NOT DO THAT SMALL THING? (not motivated, too tired, I'll do it tomorrow etc)
HOW CAN I MAKE THAT SMALL THING DOABLE FOR ME, DESPITE MY EXCUSE (these are just automatic protections, we all have them - get to know your "enemy" so you can learn how to work around them)
