My first memorable experience of yoga was at a Sivananda retreat in Kerala India, summer 2009. Whilst scrubbing floors doing karma yoga a feeling of lightness and happiness came over me, an experience I’d not had (and certainly not whilst scrubbing floors!). I realised how powerful the practices might be and began exploring them in more depth. Having worked in television production and documentary

filmmaking, another pull towards yoga was balancing the fast-paced London life. Since then I have completed a variety of yogic courses and retreats, which has appealed to my sense of yoga being a lifestyle and philosophy, as well as a physical practice. In January 2015 I did a 200-hour teacher training with Tribe Yoga in Goa (www.tribe-yoga.com), we learnt to teach several yoga styles including Ashtanga, vinyasa, and yin yoga. Later the same year I trained with Max Storm, a renowned yoga teacher who teaches breathing techniques and a yoga style called ‘inner axis’ designed to calm anxiety and the nervous system. I have also trained with James Reeves, one of the leading iRest Yoga Nidra teachers in Europe. Meditation is an important part of my practice, I‘ve been trained in giving meditation Instruction at the London Shambhala Centre, where I’ve taken many courses and have lived at their mediation Centre in France.
