Arganic Organic argan oil, 100% Pure, Fully Traceable & Fairly Traded. We ship internationally http://www.arg

Arganic supplies pure organic argan oil to the food and cosmetic industry. It is one of the most rare oils in the world, coming from the UNESCO protected argan tree that grows only in Morocco. Recently there has been high demand for argan oil in the Western World where it is used in cosmetic products for its anti-aging and restorative properties. Arganic spent over a year researching the sourcing of argan oil and are the exclusive UK distributors of one of the most reputable producers. Production of argan oil plays a strong social role in the Moroccan community as it provides employment for women and a chance for them to gain independence.

An approach to beauty from the inside out has always been a core part of Arganic’s ethos. Our culinary argan oil is not only a gourmet delight (served at the likes of Mick Jagger’s dinner parties!) but regular consumption makes for significantly shinier hair and plumper skin.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been eating (and drinking) certain things for beauty. Recently I’ve been into antioxidant rich dried hibiscus infused in a concentrated way in water and mixed into sparkling water like cordial 🌺 , detoxifying and skin clearing fresh ginger 🫚 ‘tea’ as well as increasing my intake of fresh parsley in my food. I’ve been ingesting frankincense too (more on that later). If you go about things in a similar way, please share what you have doing!

Something I’ve been so proud of at Arganic is the fact that our customer retention rate has been so high since day one.

Why? I believe it’s largely because what we make and have held with consistency is a quality product, the best it possibly could be, which does what it promises. A product we really hope we can bring back again.

What’s always bugged me with the beauty industry is how many mediocre (or worse) items are sold under labels such as organic, ‘cruelty-free’ -whatever that means, with more emphasis on the ‘recyclable’ packaging than what is in it itself. Often rendering the whole thing as waste because the product doesn’t work well and won’t necessarily get used.

It’s almost as though if it didn’t exist at all it wouldn’t matter much to anyone, apart from those profiting from the sale.

I’m sure a lot of you share the feeling of disgust at how many things we accumulate that just ends up in a landfill, thrown into the void, likely irresponsibly, whether we put it in a recycling bin or not.

Why am I ranting? I guess I just wish founders were more responsible and acting for the greater good. If there are any brands you know, doing great things, please tag them so that we can discover them and spread the word!

Weekend DIY beauty inspo. Simply mix some ground coffee with honey and a good base oil (such as argan, olive, almond or coconut) in the ratio 3:1:1. Use in the shower as a body scrub twice a week for smoother, softer skin and a welcome circulation boost! It’s better and cheaper than a lot of what you find out there and homemade means less wasteful packaging :)

Hello and happy bank holidays weekend all!

I had the best time introducing Yara to Notting Hill Carnival, I went every year growing up and it’s just so fun!

We went early, left when we felt we got enough of the vibes and planned the route strategically to keep it as chilled as possible for baby Yara. This included heading home via a lovely long walk through Hyde Park to Green Park station- so pretty and tranquil!

The carnival gets a lot of unfair bad representation so I hope I open your mind to trying it next year ❤️

For any of you who are lucky enough to have some of our culinary argan oil to hand 🤪 this dip is so good! Blend feta cheese, thick yoghurt and beetroot with some argan oil and thank me later! Optional additions are garlic, lemon zest, cumin or paprika, parsley or coriander. I served this for Yara’s breakfast the other day with one of her ultimate favourites- fudgey eggs with argan oil and cumin, a staple in our household.

Did you know that when you support women at work so that they can contribute financially to the household and by default have a firm say in matters, substantially more of the budget goes towards the children and their wellness. Statistics support this but mother’s instincts will tell you too!

(Continued from last post) I have been overwhelmed by your kind emails and messages, which really threw me off amidst the autopilot of being knee deep in dealing with the admin around this situation. It’s made me really emotional and means so much to all involved. We really tried our best and ultimately must surrender to that.

I need to say though that this is not simply the end, it’s not over until it’s over and you never know how things can turn. We are certainly allowing for all sorts of possibilities.

I’ll be continuing to share here at a gentle pace  to keep you informed on what will be happening with Arganic, the family behind Sidi Yassine and what other projects I’ll be keeping myself busy with. Please stick around!

Hi! 👋🏼 On a practical note first, whilst we sold out of our pure argan oil almost instantly, we still have some of our exquisite Arganic x beard oil left.

Aside from the natural fragrance made with a blend of the finest quality, fully traceable Omani frankincense and Indonesian sandalwood, the base is nothing less than our 100% pure, uncompromised argan oil- the last of it that you can get.

You can use it in a similar way to our pure argan oil, on the face, body and hair.

I have been thoroughly enjoying it as a body oil since it launched as I love the lingering scent it leaves on my skin. It smells expensive if you know what I mean ha!

To make it more accessible for those who want to use it for everything, we currently have an offer where you can save £5 if you purchase two at a time. So you can get two bottles for £47.

Otherwise, what a strange time it is with so much unfolding, I’ll share more in the next post…

Thanks so much everyone for your very moving and thoughtful messages. It means so much and has made me very emotional! It’s certainly a lot to process.

I need to say though that this is not simply the end, it’s never over until it’s over and you never know how things can turn. I’ll be continuing to post on here at a gentle pace  to keep you informed on what will be happening with Arganic and what other projects I’ll be keeping myself busy with.

Arganic was a way to manifest some of my values and ideas for a better world and these same core ideas will live on in other forms if not in Arganic. I still have so much energy and fire in me that I will channel into other projects, some of which I’ve been quietly working on for a while. I’m actually excited for the next chapter.

I’ve tried my best and will continue to try my best to salvage what I can and that’s all I can do! Plus, I find it silly to feel sorry for myself when I have a comfortable home, access to nutritious food, can feed my baby, etc.

Lots of love,
Dana

(Continued from the previous post)

Even in the good old days when the argan oil industry was thriving, I didn’t feel as though we had any competition, not even close. What we have been doing with Sidi Yassine has always been several steps ahead of all the others in terms of quality. This is why we have longstanding loyal customers from all over the world. Why we’ve never really needed to invest in marketing.

Now, with it being even harder than ever to produce argan oil (due to some ‘interesting’ new regulations imposed on small businesses) I don’t believe we could match even close to  the quality we have been selling by simply working with an existing producer. As I hope is already crystal clear- I would never sell something compromised, it would go against my whole mission, part of which is to share the true power of nature.

If we start from scratch with some friends we have in Morocco or even with some of the Sidi Yassine family,  it certainly isn’t a possibility anytime soon.

As to what happens next at Arganic, more information will be posted as it comes so please stick around.

Please talk to us, share your thoughts, feel free to ask questions, give us your ideas. We are here!

Finally, I want to share a sentiment that I truly believe which I hope will be food for thought; That nothing good, really good lasts, because this modern world conspires against it. This is why I always stock up on what is good and natural when I spot it and integrate it into my life.

There is no fancy way to put this. Recently, Sidi Yassine, the family owned company we have been working with in Morocco for around 15 years, has been forced to shut down their argan oil production enterprise, due to affordability.

The last few years have been really really tough, not just for them but for the argan oil industry as a whole, which you will have gathered if you’ve been following our journey. Of course these things hit the most ethical players the hardest.

Several times I found myself encouraging them to increase their prices saying ‘all of us who work with you would rather your business survive’. They did increase their prices gradually and somewhat reluctantly, but it wasn’t enough.

For the foreseeable, in terms of argan oil, this is it. If you want some of our argan oil, genuine argan oil as it should be, it’s whatever we have left on our website- your last chance.
