Our residents have been enjoying a very unique building activity, but not with ordinary blocks!

Instead, they used a variety of geometric shapes, which made the challenge trickier as each piece had to be carefully balanced to fit together. This took extra skill, focus and creativity.

This type of activity stimulates fine motor skills, problem solving and, most importantly, brings joy and relaxation.

Our residents had a great time with a simple but challenging homemade game!

Staff created a zig-zag maze by cutting a line into a piece of cardboard. Using a plastic spoon to carry a small ball, players had to carefully guide it through the maze without letting it drop.

It might sound easy, but it takes lots of concentration, patience, and fine motor skills. well done😄

We made the most of the sunshine by taking our August Memory Club outdoors this month. 🌞

Residents and visitors got creative making 3D wax candles in glass holders, adding their favourite colours along with stones, pebbles, shells, and flowers for a personal touch.

We rounded off the afternoon with a lively game of bingo, the perfect mix of creativity and fun! 🎉

Our residents got crafty this week, turning simple paper cups into charming stationery holders!

They carefully wrapped the cups in twine, added a rustic hessian mat, and finished each one with a delicate wooden butterfly. The result? A lovely, practical piece that’s full of personality and handmade charm.

It was a wonderful session full of creativity, conversation, and calm focus. We are so proud of what they made!

Our manicure sessions are always a hit with residents.

Not only do they offer a relaxing and pampering experience, but they’re also a great opportunity to check on hand and nail health. During these gentle sessions, we can spot signs of dryness, swelling, or other changes that may need attention. All while helping residents feel cared for and polished.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely sensory session with plants, exploring a variety of textures and scents. From soft leaves to fragrant flowers, everyone had the chance to touch and smell the different plants. It was a calming, hands-on experience that sparked memories and conversation.
