Laniado is a non-for-profit hospital founded and operating on the principle that compassion, kindness and sympathy are the threads with which we can bind all humanity, irrespective of race or religion. According to emergency services, several people have been injured. Two individuals in their 20s—moderately wounded—are being rushed to Laniado Hospital in Netanya. Others are being treated at the scene.

Our annual 2-day whisky adventure to Scotland was an unforgettable experience—beautiful scenery, world-class whisky, and most importantly, a group of 20 generous and passionate supporters who raised an incredible £25,000 for Laniado Hospital’s new maternity unit.

Every dram poured and every mile travelled helped bring us closer to building a state-of-the-art, compassionate space for mothers and newborns in Israel.

Guests enjoyed an unforgettable night of rare and unique whiskies, spirited bidding in our whisky auction, and meaningful conversation — all while raising vital funds for our hospital in Netanya, Israel.

In Israel, everyone is covered by a health tax and must join one of four Health Maintenance Organisations (HMOs) Kupot Cholim, like Klalit or Maccabi. But not all hospitals are funded equally.

There are four types of hospitals in Israel:

⿡ Government Hospitals – Fully funded and owned by the state (e.g. Sheba, Ichilov)
⿢ Klalit HMO Hospitals – Run by the largest health fund; often supported if in debt
⿣ Private For-Profit Hospitals – Operate mostly on elective surgeries, no ERs
⿤ Public Not-for-Profit Hospitals – Like Laniado, serving everyone, with no government funding

🔹 Laniado Hospital receives money only from HMOs for services and from donors like you.

Founded by a Holocaust survivor with a dream of compassion and healing, Laniado is a hospital with heart—never turning a patient away.
