Tonight and tomorrow we pause to remember. 🕯️

We remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust — the unfathomable loss, the shattered families, the communities that were erased. We also remember the lives brutally taken in the October 7 attacks on Israel, a painful reminder that hatred and violence against Jews did not end with the Shoah.

Yet from the darkest devastation can come extraordinary acts of faith and rebuilding.

After surviving the Death marches and losing his wife and 11 children during the Holocaust, the Klausenberger Rebbe made a remarkable promise to Hashem: if he survived, he would build a hospital where every person in need of medical care — regardless of religion, race, age, or background — would be treated with dignity and compassion.

From that promise came Laniado Hospital in Netanya, Israel — a living testament to faith, resilience, and the power of rebuilding after unimaginable loss.

Tonight we remember the victims.

This little one has become a giant! 🌟
A heart-warming full-circle story for Adi, who has now become a proud father.

29 years ago, the NICU at Laniado Hospital was Adi Karta’s first home. Born at just 27 weeks and weighing only 800 grams, he was a tiny warrior who fought for his life for three long months.

Caring for him back then with endless devotion was Eti Litig, our NICU Head Nurse. 🤍

Last week, history repeated itself in the most moving way.
Adi returned to our new NICU—but this time, not as a premature baby, but as a father. Together with his wife Shirley, they came to take home their new-born daughter. She was cared for in our fortified, state-of-the-art NICU, providing safety and peace of mind even during these challenging times of war.

At Laniado, our protected NICU operates 24/7, even under the threat of ballistic missiles and rockets. This security is exactly why we’ve seen a drastic increase in birth rates at Laniado throughout the war—parents know their little ones are in the safest hands and the safest place.

And the ultimate full-circle moment. Eti Litig, who devotedly cared for Adi nearly three decades ago, was there once again to care for the next generation and personally es**rt them home.

We wish the Karta family a massive mazal tov with endless joy, health, and happiness. Thank you for letting us be part of your story—twice. ❤️

Why is this Pesach different from all others?

As always, our dedicated chefs and kitchen team are preparing 3,000 nutritious meals, three times a day, for our patients and staff. Each meal must meet a wide range of dietary needs, reflecting the complex health conditions of those we care for.
This vital work continues nonstop right up until Erev Pesach, guided by the expert leadership of Master Chef Netanel Ben Naim.

At the same time, the traditional Pesach preparations are fully underway. Our team is diligently cleaning and kashering all kitchen equipment, working tirelessly to ensure everything meets the highest standards.

This year, however, these efforts are taking place under extraordinary circumstances. Staff are working outdoors, just steps away from a mobile bomb shelters placed nearby by the IDF—ready for immediate use by staff, patients, and visitors in the event of a siren.
