As part of our ongoing commitment to person centred care and VFF project, Leslie our veteran resident recently attended his annual veteran meeting in Worthing which is organised by the taxi charity group which was a meaningful opportunity for Leslie to reconnect and shares stories

During the outing Leslie fondly recall his time as a taxi driver in his good olden days. He spoke with smile about his examiner Mr. Finchley and the challenge of earning his badge.he also added that being a cab driver job is like a million job because they need to be sure and know where we are going and how to get back.

Leslie shared how much it meant to him to be part of an event like this saying "It's good to do things like this _it shows that we're remembered" .despite the long drive, he thoroughly enjoyed the day, call it well worth the journey. "He said these are old people who offered their lives for what they believed" he added expressing pride and gratitude for the shared legacy of service among his fellow veterans.
