"Sun and rain, so different. Yet, only by working together do they create harmony and life.” ☀️🌧️
– Fa Zhou, Mulan II

Parenthood is full of contrasts.

Joy and exhaustion.
Peaceful cuddles and chaotic mornings.
Moments where your heart could burst with love… and others where you're just holding it together.

But just like sun and rain, both are needed.
The hard days don’t take away from the beautiful ones — they shape them. They deepen your resilience, your connection, and your growth as a parent.

So if today feels heavy, remember: it’s part of a bigger picture.
A full, messy, magical picture of raising a tiny human.

You don’t need to chase constant sunshine — just trust that both the light and the rain are part of something meaningful.

Parents need friends who get it… 💛
Friends who celebrate every little win, hold space on the tough days, and love their kids like their own. Friends who listen without judgment, check in when it truly matters, and can sit in the chaos without trying to fix it all. Friends who understand that replies might take 10 minutes… or 10 days. Friends who speak truth with kindness and make you feel seen and loved, even in the messiest moments.

Who’s that friend you’re grateful for today? 💬

Bad days happen — even in parenthood. 💛
Some moments feel overwhelming, messy, or just too much. But that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. You’re doing your best — and that’s enough.

Take it one day at a time.
One cuddle, one breath, one tiny win at a time.
And remember: no phase lasts forever — not the sleepless nights, not the clingy days, not even the endless laundry piles.
This thought can gently carry you through the intensity of the moment, helping you stay afloat when everything feels heavy.

You’ve got this — and you’re not alone.

Sweet Dreams Are Made of This 😴👶

Getting enough sleep is crucial for our little ones' growth and development, but it's not always easy for them to figure out! Did you know that around 3 months old, babies start to truly grasp the difference between day and night? This is a fantastic time to gently introduce a consistent sleeping routine, as it helps them understand when it's time to wind down for a longer stretch of sleep.

A good routine signals to their tiny brains that bedtime is approaching, helping them feel secure and ready to drift off. It's like a comforting lullaby for their internal clock!

Here are some gentle ideas for building a soothing sleep routine:
🛁 A warm bath: Helps them relax and signals the end of the day.
🧴 Gentle massage: A calming touch can work wonders.
📖 Reading a book or singing a lullaby: Quiet, calming activities.
💡 Dimming the lights: Signals to their body that it’s nighttime.
🍼 A final feed: A full tummy can help them settle.

Consistency is your best friend here! Even if it feels like a marathon, sticking to a similar sequence each night can make a huge difference in helping your baby distinguish between daytime naps and nighttime slumber.

Let's help our little ones embrace the magic of a good night's sleep this summer 🌙

Your "youth" doesn’t have to be 10 years ago—it can be 2 days ago or even just a moment ago. We are always in evolution.

Parenting isn’t about perfection. It’s a cycle:
1/3 doing it right
1/3 messing it up
1/3 repair.

That last part—repair—is where the magic happens. Taking responsibility and repairing with your little one is a brave, beautiful act that shapes how they’ll relate to the world, to others, and to themselves.

Rage and frustration happen to everyone. But when our kids know that even the hardest moments can be talked through, it’s no longer about "parents are always right"—it becomes a system of communication where every voice matters.

Laura 🤍

✨ Did the phrase “parents are always right” resonate with how things were in your home growing up? What shifts are you trying to make now as a parent?

👶✨ Planning to visit a New Born? Here’s your gentle reminder checklist! 💕

It’s not just about cute cuddles — it’s about keeping baby safe, parents supported, and boundaries respected. From washing hands to skipping the kiss, these small acts mean everything to new families. 💛

Have you ever had to gently remind someone of these? 😅👇

"When life gets you down, do you want to know what you’ve got to do? Just keep swimming!"
– Dory, Finding Nemo 🐠🌊

Some days in parenthood feel like survival mode. The mess, the noise, the exhaustion — it can feel endless. But here’s the truth: you're not doing it wrong. You’re just doing something incredibly hard.

And while you're showing up for your baby, something else is quietly happening…
You’re becoming someone new. A version of you with deeper patience, fiercer love, and strength you never knew you had.

You’re still you — but changed. Grown.
And now, you get to meet this new version and learn who she is.

💫 Just keep swimming — one moment, one breath, one feed at a time.

What has surprised you most about yourself in this season of life?

✨ Mirror, mirror in the playroom… who’s the most brilliant little learner of them all? 👶💡

Believe it or not, one of the simplest toys you can give your baby is a mirror — and the benefits are BIG. From eye-tracking to emotional intelligence, mirror play helps your little one connect the dots between movement, language, and social awareness.

👀 It’s not vanity — it’s development!

But here's the question...

❓ Do you think babies should have more screen-free, reflective play like this — or are high-tech toys just as helpful?

Let’s chat below ⬇️

"Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become."
– Mufasa, The Lion King 🦁✨

Becoming a parent changes you — not just your routines, but your sense of self.
You’re still you, but you’re not exactly the same. And that’s okay.
This version of you is still taking shape.

Parenthood isn’t about losing yourself — it’s about getting to know a new side of who you are.
A softer, stronger, more stretched version. One that deserves patience, curiosity, and grace.

🌱 You haven’t disappeared. You’ve simply evolved.

What have you discovered about yourself since becoming a parent?
Let’s talk about it — this version of you matters, too.

Birthing partners, this one's for you! ❤️
You can play a vital role in collecting colostrum, that amazing first milk. It's thick, it's colourful, and it's liquid gold for your baby.
Ask guidance to your baby nurse or midwife and make that "Liquid Gold " flow !

Hi Everyone ☀️
It’s Laura here 👋
Few months ago I promised myself that when I’ve reached 300 followers (an established influencer😉) I would have put myself out there and introduce, or reintroduce I should say, myself and the Tips and Bibs project.
I am a neonatal nurse with a 10-year experience who has decided to start a new adventure and share NHS and evidence based tips to accompany you and your baby in your journey.
And as it usually happens, adventures take you in places you would never have imagined to go. In my job I have always being and advocate of babies being their unique individuals and believed that there’s no “one good fit” for all, that physical contact between baby and parents is fundamental and you are the ones that know your baby best and should always trust your guts.
What I wasn’t expecting was to find Baby massage as a way to share all these believes outside my “former job”.
I am now an IAIM Baby Massage Instructor running Infant Massage Courses in West and South London.

My mission on this platform is to empower parents through evidence based tips and the power of touch through baby massage, so they will feel a profound sense of trust in themselves being the experts in their babies.
If you were here from the beginning thank you for being here and decided to stay, if you’re new to this community a very warm welcome 🤗
If you got to the end of this long speal thank you and … stay tuned…Who knows where this adventure will take us 😉
Love,
Laura xx
