Christmas is coming at JT! 🎁🎉🎄🥰

Our elves have been busy decorating and the school is looking great. We are feeling excited for our Christmas activities, including Santa's Grotto, Christmas plays, QPR visit, Christmas lunch and a royal celebration at Kensington Palace for our 1419 students. We're sure everyone will have lots of festive fun!

Our amazing 14–19 students have been taking part in a weekly work-experience placement at Kensington Palace!

They’ve been exploring fascinating artefacts, learning about conservation, discovering the many jobs within the palace, and diving into the rich history of the monarchy.

Next week is the grand finale!! We’ll be presenting our work inside Kensington Palace itself! We are proud of everything they’ve achieved!

Happy 15th Birthday to our Hydrotherapy Pool! 🥳🏊‍♀️👏🎈🎉🎊
We celebrated with lots of fun activities, including a party in the pool and inviting our lovely ex-colleague Claire, now lead of Inclusion Un-Limited Activities, to lead some exciting underwater sensory stories for us. A great time was had by all.

You did it! 👏

100% of funds have been raised, over £100,000, for the first community-owned solar panel in Hammersmith and Fulham and the first one in a school.

A big thank you to all of our pupils, parents/carers, staff and our amazing partners at Hammersmith and Fulham Community Energy, Repowering London and Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

We are excited to let you know that Sam and John from JPC by Samsic will be raising funds for our school charity, Friends of Jack Tizard by cycling from London to Brighton on Sunday 14th September! That's a wrap on Summer Scheme 2025! What a great event. Thank you to the children and their families for their amazing participation. We've had varied sessions, including swimming, Special Yoga, Inclusion Un-Limited Activities, Ark Animals, Ranger Stu, Bubble shows, Non-Stop Kids and BLINK Dance Theatre. We hope you all had lots of fun 🥰🥳😎

Staff from Jack Tizard had a lovely evening after school this week when they visited Kensington Palace. We were invited by Royal Historic Palace’s education team with whom we have been working closely with to develop opportunities to enrich our school curriculum in meaningful ways for students at Jack Tizard. LA & Elf classes have had exciting trips to the palace this year where they have been met by “Queen Caroline” who lived at the palace many years ago. The students have explored this historic building to learn about who lived there, played games & danced with the Queen!
On Wednesday it was the staff’s turn to enjoy exploring Kensington Palace; we were treated to delicious snacks & refreshments and talked about the exciting opportunities for future visits for JT students. It was a delightful way to celebrate everyone’s hard work at the end of the academic year on a warm summers evening!

Well done to our 14-19 students who looked after our guests during our solar panel launch event on Monday. We would normally complain about the 34 degree heat but we're pleased to be saving money on our bills with our solar panels 😉☀️☀️☀️
