Join us today at 2pm on Zoom for an educational and creative workshop about the importance of sleep for mental health. Sign up to our mailing list or DM us for joining details. Link in bio & highlights.

We will explore:

How does sleep impact emotional wellbeing?

Can your body speak through art before your mind finds the words?

We’ll explore how stress affects your nervous system and how subconscious signals from the body can emerge through visual expression.

Art focus:
Drawing what the body remembers — expressing unseen stress through colour, shape, and line.

The first half of the workshop will include teaching on the neuroscience of sleep, and practical activities like learning how to screen your own current stress levels - led by Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Christina Browne.

The second half will be an art workshop - led by Artist & therapeutic Practitioner, Cornelius Browne.

We explore a new topic every Saturday so stay tuned 🫶🏾 FREE & open to all.

Art is more than expression, it’s a healing practice 🎨

At The Mind Cafe, we use art as a tool for emotional release, meditation on God’s Word, and deep inner restoration.

Our workshops aren’t about being “good at art” — they’re about finding space to breathe, reflect, connect, and heal.

Whether through colour, form, or stillness, God often meets us in the creative process in ways words cannot reach.

From healing and release, to truth-telling, vision, and hope , art helps us process what we carry and invites God’s Spirit to move gently in the places we often hide.

Led by professional Artist, Therapeutic Art Practitioner & Christian Minister - Cornelius Browne, our creative art workshops are held online and in-person at our Muswell Hill base.

Since 2006, we’ve supported individuals of all backgrounds — and we’ve seen lives transformed through the timeless principles found in Scripture.

The Church, while full of love and good intentions, often lacks the tools or understanding to walk alongside those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health issues. Christians experiencing mental health challenges often find themselves misunderstood by both the Church and mental health services.

We show people how environment, experiences, genetics and epigenetics contribute to developing poor mental health which can lead to mindsets of seeing no way out.

And we teach our clients simple measures to bring about reversal of brain changes that contributed to poor mental health in the first place.

What began as a response to an unmet need has grown into a mission of hope, healing, and wholeness for all.

At The Mind Cafe, we’re:
🕊️ Faith-based, not faith-biased
🧩 Filling gaps left by both church and clinical systems
🔥 Rooted in Isaiah 61: “to bind up the broken-hearted”

Whether you share our beliefs or not, you are welcome here to learn, grow, and heal.

The core principles found in the word of God — love, renewal, identity, grace, forgiveness — speak to the human condition in ways that transcend background or belief. They are foundational truths that bring hope and change, whoever you are and wherever you come from.
