Happy 2022🥂
The beginning of the new year always brings thoughts, reflections and new hope!
Yesterday someone was asking me about the sleep method and am I really getting a five months old baby to sleep on her own?
She said she doesn’t believe in it, and that babies should not be expected to fall asleep independently at this age. You know what? I could totally relate as I used to think like that up until 18 months ago.
So what happened? My eldest Ella gave up sleep all to together when she was about 3 months old. At the beginning I told myself it’s because she has a cold, after that it was teething , the 4 months sleep regression, growth spurt, 8 months separation anxiety and so on.. I refused to get any help because just like that woman yesterday I believed that Ella does not need to sleep independently at this age. So she didn’t sleep and we didn’t sleep and our quality of life was severely damaged. We were just on survival mode.. when Ella was 1.2 I gave up and called for help, but the rule was to never let Ella “cry it out” as I could never do that. We found the most amazing sleep consultant and very quickly Ella started sleeping through the night! Words cannot describe the joy we felt😆 Ella was a much calmer baby, and I was a much calmer mum! Our playtime together was so much fun as we both had energy we didn’t have for a long time. I fell in love with the method and wanted to help more families regain the joy and sanity that was lost due to sleep deprivation and so I became I sleep consultant myself. When Naomi was born it was clear that at 5 months old I will teach her to sleep independently in order to improve her life quality as well as ours☺️ thank you for reading🙏 wishing you all a fantastic 2022 filled with joy, health and especially good night’s sleep⭐️🌙💤
