Rammed earth is a technique of compacting sand, clay, silt and small amounts of cement (stabilised) into form works to create structures.
-
Regulating heat and resistance to burning were my main concerns given the temperature of the environment and the buildings functionality - cooking and preparation of food.
-
The kitchen was built with no set-floor plan but truly from a need to establish a comfortable cooking space and fast. I’ve grown to realise planning allows for functional possibilities.
-
Still very grateful for the outcome. This picture is a constant reminder of the possibilities that come with persistence and foresight but also what can be improved upon.

Most the utensils in here are powered without electricity. (Hand juicer, Hand sieve etc)
-
This is to put more of the power back into our hands which will also provide a true understanding and resilience to our most used vessels - our bodies.

Back on the land soon with more wisdom and understanding. All praises to the most high ❤️

I’ve been receiving weekly updates and the pomegranate tree is fruiting, mango, soursop, avocado, orange, sweet apple, jackfruit, pineapples etc are just thriving

It’s been hard being away so long but I’m thankful for my earthly caretaker and the heavenly one deserved all the glory.
