The people living with us made bird feeders today. They will be hung up outside the window, and we will be able to start our birdwatching task shortly.

This was a great activity whereby we also learned the sounds of different birds and their unique behaviours. Everyone really enjoyed this More...Creativity activity.

We welcomed the New Year with a bang. New Years Bingo in the morning and lots of celebration, singing and a countdown in the afternoon. We even shared a glass of Nosecco and danced to our favourite tunes. And of course, 'Auld lang syne' was sung many times. It was a great start to the New Year with the people living with us.

We had a wonderful Christmas Day with the people living with us here at Parkview House. Mrs Clause came with her helpers and gave out Christmas presents. We sang together, told Christmas Cracker Jokes and had a delicious lunch thanks to our chefs. In the afternoon we watched the Kings Speech and of course sang some more Carols. It was a lovely Christmas Day!

We held the annual MMCG Christmas Party on Friday the 19th of December. Staff and the people living with us listened to the Christmas message and then revealed the winner of the Raffle. Congratulations Leonard!

Of course there was lovely food for everyone. Cheese and crackers as well as gingerbread and mince pies. Then the winners of the Christmas Jumper competition were chosen and received a prize. The afternoon finished with singing and much cheer.

We had such a busy day today and the children from South Chingford Foundation School did really make it magical. They sang carols with everyone and stayed for a chat and some cake. Thank you so much to the children of year 7! It was lovely and so thoughtful of you to come.

The people living with us visited St Edmunds Church in Chingford. Vicar Ruth invited us to look around the beautiful Church and learn some facts about the history of the congregation and the building.

Michael, who lives with us, used to visit the Church for many years and even got married there. It held many lovely memories for him.
We sang Carols and did prayers with Vicar Ruth, admiring the Church and the Christmas tree.

Thank you so much St Edmunds for making this such a special and spiritual morning.

We had a wonderful Christmas Party with the people living with us and many of their friends and families. The day started off with Morris the entertainer getting everyone into the Christmas spirit. In the afternoon we had quizzes and a sing along. Our chefs prepared a delicious buffet which was enjoyed by everyone. It was a great day we will remember 😊 Merry Christmas everyone 🎄
