We mix adventure and assessment for our young people here at SuperCare!

Earlier this week, a child from one of our Eastbourne homes took their therapy to the water.
They were brave and went out for a paddle boarding session.

And guess what??.. They absolutely loved it!

Not only was it a chance to enjoy the outdoors and boost confidence on (and in) the water, but it also formed part of their Occupational Therapy assessment.

The focus? Balance and gross motor skills.
Who says assessments can’t be fun?!

Hyde Gardens has been busy preparing to welcome their first young person into the home!

Preparation is everything
and at SuperCare, we leave nothing to chance.

Last week, our team at Hyde Gardens took part in specialist epilepsy training to ensure they’re fully equipped to support the young person with complex health needs coming into the home.

From recognising the signs of a seizure to knowing exactly how to respond, our adults are now confident, informed, and ready to provide the highest level of care.

This kind of training is what makes SuperCare different.
We don’t just care, we prepare.

Our in-house training team ensures every adult in our homes is ready for any situation, so the young people we support can feel safe, understood, and truly cared for.

Frimley House Sports Day Highlights! 🏃‍♂️🎉

What a brilliant day of laughter, games, and just the right amount of healthy competition (though it did get a bit too competitive at times...)

It was a fantastic opportunity for both young people and adults to bond, let off steam, and enjoy some time outdoors.

And while a few of the grown-ups may have limped their way home trying to keep up with the children, the memories made were well worth it!

Last week Frimley house hosted their own Sports Day, which brought everyone together for a fantastic day of friendly competition.
and yes, it got surprisingly competitive!

From relays to sack races, the young people and adults gave it their all, showing teamwork, encouragement, and plenty of laughs along the way.

We’re pleased to report that everyone had a brilliant time, although a few of the adults may have forgotten they’re not the sports person they used to be… and limped away with some pulled muscles and bruised egos 🫣😂

Days like these are what SuperCare is all about!
Shared experiences, strong connections, and helping young people thrive alongside the adults who support them every day.

The future of care is bright 🌟 and it's in safe hands!

Throughout July for Good Care Month, we've been celebrating the incredible work our adults do every day across our homes at SuperCare.

But today, we want to look ahead 👀
to the future of care...

Last week, we were delighted to welcome Hannah to our Eastbourne offices for a week of work experience.
From the moment she arrived, Hannah was eager, driven, and curious to learn everything she could about how we support the children in our homes.

She brought a fantastic energy to the team, and it's young people like Hannah who give us real confidence in what the future holds.
We have no doubt that she – and others like her – will be the ones we’re celebrating during Good Care Month in years to come.

As we continue to celebrate Good Care Month, we’re proud to shine a light on the incredible work happening across our homes. 🌟

Our adults are continuously developing their skills to provide the best care possible, and the safety of our young people remains at the heart of everything we do.
Especially during moments of dysregulation.

That’s why ongoing Team Teach training is a cornerstone of our approach, and we’re always looking for ways to grow and improve in this area.

And we are so grateful to have such great Team Teach trainers running these sessions for us!

Excitingly, we’re also preparing to welcome the first young people to Tudor Court, our very first SEMH home.

Over the past two weeks, the amazing new team has been completing their induction training including team-building activities designed to strengthen bonds and foster a culture of trust and collaboration.

Because great care doesn’t happen in isolation, it takes a united, tight-knit team to truly make a difference. 💚

It’s a privilege to share the stories of the passionate individuals who make SuperCare so special.

💚 What does Good Care really look like?
This past month, we’ve seen two shining examples, and we’re proud to share their efforts.

This RI award is a special one though as we come into July, marking the start of Good Care Month 🎉

Making this the perfect time to recognise the individuals who live and breathe quality care every single day.
At SuperCare, that means showing up with compassion, stepping up when it counts, and putting young people at the heart of everything we do.

🏆 June RI Award – Eastbourne
Ali Subari, Coach at Hyde Gardens, has once again gone above and beyond for his home. While he humbly credits the Eastbourne leadership team for their guidance, it's Ali’s own dedication and extra efforts that earned him this recognition. A true example of good care in action.

🏆 June RI Award – London
Coach Courtney Clarke has been making waves in our Frimley home. She's been stepping up, taking on new responsibilities, and playing a vital role in the smooth transition of a new young person into the home. Her maturity, calm approach, and willingness to lead have made all the difference.

🌍 As we celebrate Good Care Month, we honour not just our team, but care workers around the world who are making a real difference in people’s lives.

👏 The impact care workers have on lives every single day is immeasurable... and while this is a dedicated month of recognition, these people deserve our gratitude every day.

Let’s keep raising the standard, supporting one another, and providing the very best care possible.

With our brand-new SEMH home Tudor Court now open, we’re changing up the way we do our training.

In this episode of Training Talks, Charley Hooper and Emma Chapman dive into the new two-week induction programme designed specifically for our SEMH team that they will be running.

Supporting young people with mental health challenges requires a whole new level of preparation.

From building emotional resilience to learning how to respond to crisis situations, this training is about ensuring our adults are ready mentally, emotionally, and practically before they ever walk through the doors!

This kind of preparation is key for us to be able to provide not only the level of care we hold ourselves to, but the level of care these children deserve.

Everyone deserves to feel accepted, and this month is all about that! 🌈

To celebrate Pride Month, our Eastbourne homes got stuck into a hands-on, colourful activity making their own Pride flags out of spaghetti and sticky notes.

At SuperCare, being inclusive isn’t a one-off thing, it’s part of how we care every single day. Pride Month gives us a chance to celebrate our young people, show them it’s okay to be themselves, and remind them that they’re accepted exactly as they are.

It’s not just about flags and rainbows, it’s about making sure everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.

John's dedication, compassion, and commitment to supporting our young people is truly inspiring.
As a token of appreciation, he’s also been awarded a £100 TK Maxx voucher.

The RI Award is presented monthly across both our East Sussex and London satellites to recognise individuals who consistently demonstrate excellence in care and go the extra mile in our homes.
