AI is a Ferris wheel ride of risks and rewards.

We all have downloaded app in our devices and it it flashes a 10-page Terms & Conditions, without even scrolling past the first paragraph. We figure, “Eh, what’s the worst that could happen? Just want to get to the good stuff!”

That’s what using AI can feel like sometimes. We’re so eager to get the benefits that we don’t always stop to ask what we’re really agreeing to, just like those Christmas joyride Ferris wheel rides in the park.

Every spin of this wheel shows something new and potentially troubling: bias, burnout, surveillance, shadow systems, and even hidden nudges shaping our daily choices.

The real question is: Are we steering AI or are we just strapped in, hoping for the best?

If you’re ready to redesign the ride with ethics at the center and get your hands on the controls, explore the AI Ethics Toolkit & AI First Aid Workshops at https://ckccaresshop.com/collections/ethical-elevation-toolkit-diagnostics

“The Digital Polycrisis is a clear and compelling read that succinctly brings to life what's coming with AI and how we can respond and be part of the AI revolution.

Not only does it describe the elements one needs to understand, which form the backbone of AI, but it's also incredibly practical. The exercises and workbook guide you to discover possible AI roles for the future and invites you through a journey to explore what role you can play in this new digital world. I particularly love the leadership and Digital Twin self-leadership journey, which equips you with a structured process to begin your AI journey.

I can't recommend this book enough!“

These are not our words; they are Fiona Incledon Hiscocks's, and we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

The Digital Twin Self™ framework is where AI meets leadership identity. It helps us pause, reflect, and lead with clarity in a world that often feels like it’s moving faster than we can keep up. It’s a guide to finding our role, our values, and our leadership in a digital-first world.

All that glitters is not gold.

There is an old tale of the trickster who claimed he could spin straw into gold, but only if you paid a hidden price. Honestly, that’s not far from how certain deals still work today.

Think about it: how often have we been tempted by an offer that seemed flawless at first glance, only to discover the real cost hidden deep in the small print? Perhaps it was a contract, a subscription, or a shiny new tool promising to change everything. We sign quickly, and later realize we didn’t fully understand what we were giving away.

AI can feel the same. It offers to turn our data into treasure, yet if we’re not careful, that “gold” can turn out to be fool’s gold. And the hidden price? Privacy, ethics, and sometimes even trust.

That’s why ethical elevation matters. It’s about moving beyond the bare minimum of compliance and asking better questions:

• What’s the true cost behind this AI system?

• How do we protect people while we innovate?

• Can we build technology that benefits everyone, not just a select few who understand it?

We don’t have to be tricked by glittering promises. We can choose to read the small print, understand it, set clearer rules, and shape AI practices built on trust and responsibility.

So let’s not simply sign on the dotted line. Let’s ensure we understand the real deal before handing over our data and making decisions. https://ckccaresshop.com/collections/ethical-elevation-toolkit-diagnostics

I’d love to hear your perspective. Have you ever faced a “too good to be true” promise (whether in tech, business, or everyday life) that ended up costing more than expected? What did you learn from it?

Artificial Intelligence is advancing at a pace that many regulations and workplace policies are struggling to keep up with. For organisations, this creates both opportunities and risks: AI can enhance efficiency, but without clear guidance, it can also expose teams to compliance gaps, ethical dilemmas, and reputational harm.

That’s why we created the AI Ethical Elevation Toolkits, a practical set of ready-made policies designed to help organisations embed responsibility, transparency, and accountability into their use of AI. It provides a foundation for businesses that want to innovate with confidence while protecting their people, data, and brand.

Here’s the question we’re asking: should organisations be adapting existing governance frameworks to include AI, or do we need entirely new standards built specifically for this technology?

Do you ever feel like AI is moving faster than the rules meant to guide it?
One moment it’s a helpful assistant, and the next it’s reshaping how entire teams, industries, and even cultures operate.

That’s exactly why ethical elevation matters. It’s not just about ticking compliance boxes or keeping regulators happy. It’s about something deeper: creating workplaces and communities built on trust, responsibility, and inclusion so AI actually works for people, not the other way around.

Here’s how we see it:
• Regulation keeps us out of trouble.
• Elevation builds the kind of leadership and innovation people can actually believe in.

And let’s be honest, people don’t just want safe technology; they want technology they can trust. That trust isn’t built through policies alone; it’s built through culture, values, and leadership that consistently choose what’s right over what’s easy.

That’s what our AI Ethics Training is designed around: helping leaders and teams see AI not just as code, but as culture, not just as systems, but as values in action.

This carousel is a practical guide on how to move from simply adopting AI to truly elevating the way we approach ethics, policies, and leadership.

Swipe through, explore, and let’s start the conversation:
What do you think it will take for AI to be seen as truly trustworthy: regulation, culture, or something more?

, not

Most weekends, I enjoy taking a drive or exploring a new trail. And you know how GPS sometimes says “turn left,” but when you look up, it’s clearly a dead end? That’s when you trust your own eyes and instincts.

That’s how I think about AI. It’s not meant to take the wheel, more like a travel buddy in the passenger seat. Sometimes it’s super helpful; other times it gets things a little wrong. What matters is how we work with it.

When people and AI find the right balance, the journey feels smoother, risks appear earlier, and the path ahead is clearer to see.

At CKC Cares, our focus is on making AI adoption safe and practical through ethical policies, training, and leadership coaching so you stay confidently in the driver’s seat.

My name is Violet F. Gatwiri. I graduated from the Africa Nazarene University and joined the CKC Cares company as a Strategic Operations and Engagement Lead.

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with the team and our principal, ChaVon Clarke-Joell, on the final touches of a project, the Digital Polycris Workbook. What stood out the most for me in this project is the ethical considerations in AI and how the workbook is interactive, not just reading and closing it.

There are questions to jog your mind and fillable forms to fill in your thoughts and answers.

The digital world is moving faster than ever, but with ethical AI and cyber resilience, we can skate through it with confidence.

Introducing the Skating Through the Digital Polycrisis Workbook for Professionals, more than a guide, it’s our toolkit to:

• Making ethical decisions in AI

• Building real cyber resilience

• Leading with clarity and confidence in uncertain times

Whether you’re a professional, educator, entrepreneur, or team leader, this workbook helps you grow, not just get through, in a digital, first-world.

Start your journey today and turn disruption into opportunity.

Don’t just keep up with the future; shape it!

When we were children, many of us read Aesop’s fables. One of the most memorable is The Fox and the Grapes. In it, the fox jumps again and again to reach a bunch of grapes, but when he can’t, he shrugs them off, claiming they were probably sour anyway.

That fable isn’t just about grapes—it’s about human behavior. When something feels out of reach, it’s easier to dismiss it than to face the discomfort of trying again.

Fast forward to today.
In our digital lives, many of us do the same thing. We dismiss the idea of building an authentic digital identity because it feels overwhelming, abstract, or “not for me.” Especially now, when AI often mirrors back versions of us that don’t feel right—too mechanical, incomplete, or even a little unsettling.

But here’s the truth: ignoring it doesn’t make the challenge go away.
Your digital identity is being shaped every day—by algorithms, platforms, and data you don’t always control. The question is, are you the fox walking away from the grapes, or are you taking ownership of your story?

The good news is, discovering your true digital self doesn’t have to be hard. With the right tools, it can take less than 10 minutes to reflect, explore, and reclaim your authentic digital persona—one that’s aligned with your values and voice, not just with what AI predicts.

That’s what the Digital Identity Experience is all about. It’s a guided journey designed to help you stay connected to your authentic self in a world increasingly influenced by technology.

Because at the end of the day, your digital identity should be a reflection of who you are—not who an algorithm thinks you might be.

Don’t let AI define your reflection. Start your free journey today and take the first step toward a genuine, empowered digital identity. https://ckccaresshop.com/collections/ckc-cares-human-scaffolding-suite

It's the D-day.

Today we are at the Thames Valley AI Hub (TVAI) Summit at the University of Reading, joining over 200 guests for a day filled with insights, debates, and creativity on the cultural, social, environmental, and business impacts of AI. ChaVon (CJ) Clarke-Joell, our founder, will be highlighting Women, Ethics & AI.

AI changes how we work, how we connect, and sometimes, how we see our own identity.

The Digital Twin Self™ Coaching & Identity Alignment Session is a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what makes us human in the middle of all this digital change. It's a reminder that we're about finding alignment, clarity, and a stronger sense of self in a field of technology that's moving fast.

Let’s not lose sight of what makes us truly human while using the AI tools. Learn more about the Digital Twin Self™ coaching experience here: https://ckccaresshop.com/products/digital-twin-self%E2%84%A2-leadership-track?_pos=1&_sid=b2b4fa64c&_ss=r

Have you noticed how our apps sometimes know what we’ll click, watch, or even eat before we do? It’s amazing but also a little unsettling, right?

We’re not just data points. We’re not just predictions on a screen. We’re 100% human, full of values, choices, and voices that no algorithm can really replace.

CKC Cares' Digital Twin Self™️ helps us understand what is happening when we disconnect from reality and feel lost online. It is a reminder for all of us to stay true to who we are, especially when algorithms may seem to lead the way.

Let’s not get lost in the code. Stay grounded. Stay human. Learn with us as we continue to explore this topic: https://www.vktr.com/ai-ethics-law-risk/ai-is-redefining-human-genius-heres-why-ethics-must-keep-up/

It’s Friday, the week’s almost over, and everyone’s ready for the weekend. But not everyone finishes the week the same way.

Some teammates are still stuck on Monday’s tasks. Others are struggling quietly with a new AI tool. And a few are carrying the heaviest load without saying a word.

Unconscious bias often blinds us to who is really being left behind. We notice the loudest voices, the most confident performers, and the ones already comfortable with change.

Everyone has their own definition of leadership. Human-centered leadership is knowing when to pause, identifying who among the team is left behind, and ensuring that the journey is ethical, inclusive, and truly worthy.

AI is not waiting for us to catch up, but the best leaders guide people through change without losing the human touch.
