AI is a Ferris wheel ride of risks and rewards.
We all have downloaded app in our devices and it it flashes a 10-page Terms & Conditions, without even scrolling past the first paragraph. We figure, “Eh, what’s the worst that could happen? Just want to get to the good stuff!”
That’s what using AI can feel like sometimes. We’re so eager to get the benefits that we don’t always stop to ask what we’re really agreeing to, just like those Christmas joyride Ferris wheel rides in the park.
Every spin of this wheel shows something new and potentially troubling: bias, burnout, surveillance, shadow systems, and even hidden nudges shaping our daily choices.
The real question is: Are we steering AI or are we just strapped in, hoping for the best?
