The Mind and Soul Foundation

The Mind and Soul Foundation Supporting Christian leader resilience and mental health www.mindandsoulfoundation.org But actually lots of people can identify with this area.

In many churches and mental health settings, there is a no-go zone: where mental health and spiritual health meet. Our mental health is not discussed in churches or fellowships and spirituality is often seen as a small part of our mental health. "I love The Mind and Soul Foundation for many reasons: Its informative and accessible, packed with great resources, information on groups, and courses. There's something for the mental health professional, the pastor, the person on the street. But what I think is so great about The Mind and Soul Foundation is that it dares to share what we all know, but are scared to admit: we're broken people. We live with hurts and fears that overwhelm, and habits that we may even be ashamed of. Aren't we Christians supposed to have it all together? The Mind and Soul Foundation gives hope, acceptance, practical wisdom and some signposts when our lives fall apart. As a Christian leader I think its about time we had something like this. As a former sufferer of Post natal depression, I'm just glad that websites like this exist." Jo Saxton

"The concept of neurodiversity is increasingly gaining recognition and importance across different sectors of society... However, discussions about neurodiversity within the Church are still seemingly in the early stages."

Chi-Chi explores the experience of neurodiverse individuals within Church settings, and encourages us to embrace neurodiversity to create more inclusive and spiritually enriching spaces.

"There will come a time of ending for most of us, a clear ‘succession’ date or period of handover. But once this is over, a key question is ‘should I stay or should I go?’"

In our new blog post, Rob shares some thoughts on how leaders can plan for their ministry ending, and how a mentally healthy leader might do it well.

We're so excited about the launch of this podcast - from 'our' Kate Middleton, and great friend of MASF, Justin Humphreys, from - a partnership between MASF, 31:8 and Spring Harvest, who made the pod possible.

Becoming is a podcast about psychologically healthy leadership: conversations with guests who each bring their own wisdom and experience to the world of Christian or church leadership. In a season where we all have to process some significant exposures of unhealthy and abusive leadership these conversations ask: what does it look like to do this better and lead in ways which are healthy for us as leaders, but much more importantly, for the people and cultures we lead.

Catch the teaser today from Kate and Justin talking about why they decided to create this pod - and E1 launches tomorrow, thinking about Character and Leadership with Dr Roger Bretherton. And do subscribe so you don't miss out on future episodes including guests like Scot Mcknight, Eun Strawser, Lisa Oakley and Chuck Degroat.

We know that trauma in ministry is a huge issue - often leading to significant emotional and mental ill health for leaders and their families. So we're thrilled to be partnering with theologians from Oxford University on a project focusing on this important topic - and this month we gathered with invited friends and colleagues to discuss and learn more.
