✨ Feeling overwhelmed by education acronyms? You’re not alone.
EOTISC, Education Other Than in School or College, Alternative Provision (AP), Home Education, Off‑roll, EOTAS…

When your young person isn’t thriving in their current educational setting, it can feel like a whole new language is being thrown your way.

At RK SENDIASS, we know how stressful and confusing this journey can be. That’s why we work hard to keep information simple, clear, and supportive—so you can feel confident when talking with education settings or the local authority.

🌟 We’ve just updated our website section on Education Other Than in School/College to help you navigate these terms and understand your options without feeling overwhelmed.

***Sharing*** Autism Central: Free Online Meet-Ups for Grandparents
Funded by NHS England and run by Anna Freud 💙

Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of autistic children — yet support and dedicated spaces for them can be hard to find.

That’s why we’re glad to see Autism Central offering free online meet-ups and access to Peer Guides, with up to 10 one‑to‑one support sessions available.
Let’s not forget that some grandparents may be autistic too, and benefit from a space to connect and be heard.

🎥 New Video for Parent Carers!

With National Offer Day last month and the summer term just around the corner, we’ve recorded a new, shorter, and easy‑to‑follow video to support a smoother transition for young people moving up to secondary school while on SEN Support.

Whether your child is in Year 5 or Year 6, this quick guide walks you through what to expect, how the transition planning process works, and what to start considering ahead of Year 7 — helping you feel more prepared for the months ahead.
