I created this page with the purpose of using it as a platform for me to share information about lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, and health in general! It is also a way for people to ask questions that they may have, and for me to answer to the best of my abilities. If you do have a genuine question but don't want to post on the page, PM me and I will share and answer it anonymously. The level of information provided will vary, varying from advice for beginners, to topics that may interest those of you who are slightly more advanced! When I smell blood in the water… 😂

Coleslaw, sweet potatoes, avocados, blueberries, and sauerkraut (cabbage)… Might be time to update the username from Carnivore Cam to Omnivore Cam? 😂

What animals do these foods come from exactly? Been out hunting packs of wild sweet potatoes have we? 🍠

Look, I’m glad he’s moving toward a more sensible diet… but maybe we could’ve skipped the years of extreme-diet evangelism and misinformation in the first place? 🧐

I can see the reasoning behind this idea and if you want to choose a trainer entirely based on what they look like, that’s your perogative. But as someone who’s been in the industry for over 10 years and worked alongside 100s of trainers, here’s why it’s not the most important factor to consider…

Why can’t people lose weight? What’s the single nutrient they’re missing? The single reason?

Estrogen dominance? Insulin resistance? No.. the answer is more complicated.

And it doesn’t make weight loss impossible, but it certainly makes it more difficult.

Things I do as a PT & nutritionist that would send Wellness Grifters & Carnibros into a coma 💀

❗️Now to be clear… I’m not saying you should do all these things with reckless abandon. I still:

✅ Eat predominately “whole”, nutritious foods
✅ Weight train 3-4x week
✅ Play sport/do cardio 1-2x week
✅ Hit 10k+ steps per day
✅ Get 7-9 hours sleep most nights
✅ Mostly limit alcohol to social events
✅ Stay hydrated

Etc etc.

Overall, I live what I’d consider a healthy lifestyle. But not all of us are trying to optimise the s**t out of everything - and while we want live long healthy lives, we’re not interested in living like a monk to squeeze out an extra year or two. 

Add life to your years, not just years to your life.

It’s about finding a balance that YOU are happy with 🫡

Bruno is down 15kg (33lbs) down in 4 months. That’s 14% of his total bodyweight 👏🏼

Habits that we have worked on👇🏼

💪🏼 Getting back into the gym and building confidence with a structured training plan
🥦 Improving overall diet quality without eliminating any specific foods (he still eats pizza, fizzy drinks, and sweets)
🍎 Addressed snacking habits and stress eating
🍻 Managing nutrition around social events 

Bruno had previously worked with a coach who was too restrictive, so it was important that his plan allowed for flexibility while providing accountability and support📱

All of my clients know that no food is off-limits. What we aim for is balance, consistency, and habits that last long after the “diet” ends.
