☀️So here it is – yesterday I finished hosting my Christmas and New Year retreats in the Canary Islands. When my guests left, I felt exhilarated, grateful, and a little lost as the villa became incredibly quiet without them.

☀️There is no better feeling than knowing you’ve helped people reset and leave feeling slightly transformed, carrying that energy with them to share with others. I started going to retreats in 2003 as a student/guest, long before they were popular, and for a decade I struggled with self-doubt, because for years I was torn between two voices – one urging me to facilitate my own retreats, the other telling me I wasn’t good enough and couldn’t do it. Finally, in 2013, I took the plunge and hosted my first retreat in Tuscany, trusting my intuition and inner guidance, and it felt like the best thing I had ever done.

⭐️ My yoga and meditation practice teaches me to move with ease and grace, restoring me from the inside out. I really notice the difference on mornings I skip this vital part of my routine, getting caught up in tasks on my laptop.

⭐️ Then I pause and ask myself are the demands of my laptop more important than my mental health?
