Summer Hydration
With the great weather we are having, our gardens are suffering with the lack of rain but we also have to make sure our bodies do not dehydrate. 70% of our body is made up of water. If we drink large quantities of water in one go, it is like watering an indoor plant, the water will go straight through.
We require minerals/electrolytes for the water to be taken into our cells. Eat plenty of vegetables, salad and fruits to help take the water into our cells. Don’t forget coffee, tea and alcohol are diuretics that result in an increased frequency of urination, and therefore dehydration if consumed in large amounts.
