It was a wonderful start to the new year seeing five of our staff members proudly join the London New Year's Day parade as part of the Philippines delegation, representing our Trust and their professions.

The London New Year’s Day Parade is a spectacular annual event held in the heart of the city. Performers, community groups and businesses are among those who take part in the procession.

Well done to Edwin, Head of Nursing Practice Development and Education, Josephine, Diabetes Specialist Nurse, Kathleen, Ward Manager, Lampton Ward, Tamlyn, Apprenticeships Programme Facilitator and Anthony, ISS Transport Manager.

🎄Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄

Our paediatric patients had a very special visitor this week...

Gary Davies, Hospital Medical Director, helped to spread festive cheer to our young patients by dressing up as Father Christmas and delivering Chelsea Football Club festive gifts.

It was wonderful to see their excited faces as the magic of Christmas came to the hospital!

With special thanks to the Play Service, CW+ charity, and Chelsea Football Club for making this possible.

On Thursday 18th December, the Trust welcomed the players from Chelsea Football Club as a special festive surprise to our young patients and staff members.

Premier League stars such as; Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto visited our youngest patients and their families in the paediatric wards, handing out ChelseaFC goodie bags and taking photos to commemorate the day.

National strike action by resident doctors action ends at 7am tomorrow (Mon 22 Dec).

Services may continue to be busy throughout the festive period, so please use community care services and NHS 111 for any non-emergency advice and care.

Please be aware that industrial action by resident doctors continues into the weekend, ending at 7am on Monday 22 December. Our A&E department is expected to be extremely busy, so we advise our community to use emergency services wisely.

For non-emergency care please use 111, where you will be directed to the most appropriate care service for you.
