Last week, Deborah Rozansky, SCIE’s Director of Policy, Research, and Partnerships, attended the Care & Dementia Expo—the UK’s leading event for transforming social care and improving the lives of people living with dementia.

Deborah joined Vishal Shah, CFA, Banyan Care; Chris Badger, Care Quality Commission; Dan Archer, Visiting Angels; and Lucy Campbell, Right at Home UK for a panel titled, ‘Care Sector Question Time: Challenges, Choices and the Road Ahead’.

This Question Time–style session invited debate on the most pressing issues facing social care today, including funding, workforce, reform, public perception, and political will.

Session Announcement: How Cognitive Rehabilitation helps people with dementia. It works!

This session offers a brief introduction to Cognitive Rehabilitation, followed by a powerful and personal discussion between Karen Marks (Living with dementia), John Rustin (Care partner to Karen Marks), and Justin Mazzotta MSc (Partners in Dementia) as they share real-life experiences and professional insight into how Cognitive Rehabilitation can make a meaningful difference.

Through open conversation and audience Q&A, this session will explore how tailored approaches can support independence, improve quality of life, and empower people living with dementia.

Private time with a doctor for people with memory concerns, exclusively at this year’s Care & Dementia Expo.

Re:Cognition Health will be hosting a Doctors’ Clinic, offering complimentary informal private one-to-one 20 minute discussion in a quiet, confidential area of the exhibition.

These one-to-one chats are provided at no cost, giving individuals and families the opportunity to speak directly with experienced clinicians about memory concerns and possible next steps.
