At the end of last year, Emma smashed the Three Peaks Challenge with her team and the doggies, of course! ⛰️ They covered 20 miles, 3 summits (Sugarloaf, Blorenge and Skirrid Fawr) and a race against daylight, finishing strong the next morning.🌞

Emma shared that it was “an experience I’ll never forget” and absolutely worth the aches. Thanks to the amazing support from colleagues, friends and family, they raised an incredible £3,265 for the Lymphoedema Research Fund at St George’s Hospital. 🧡

A huge congratulations Emma! Here's to more incredible challenge events in 2026🎉

Nige Waters His Cactus by Anita Klein is our Artwork of the Month for December 2025! This artwork was chosen by the staff, patients, and visitors at an in-person vote as part of St George's, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Group Green Day, from four artworks shortlisted on the theme of sustainability.

The participants in the vote liked this artwork because of the themes of care and togetherness.

Each month, we highlight an artwork as part of our Artwork of the Month series. This series is a part of our The National Lottery Heritage Fund project, 'Our Hospital: conserving, curating and responding to St George's Art and Heritage Collection'.

🎄 Merry Christmas from all of us at St George’s Hospital Charity 🎄

Thanks to our wonderful supporters, Christmas has truly come to life at the hospital today. Gifts have been shared with patients and our brilliant NHS staff working today have enjoyed a well-earned Christmas dinner.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this Christmas, and to those who sent Christmas cards filled with kind messages and stories. Our patients were so touched and loved reading every one of them.

Your support means so much, and moments like today simply wouldn’t be possible without you 💙

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a very happy New Year.

✨As Christmas draws near, there are moments of warmth and togetherness for many, but we also know it can be heavy for those carrying loss.

This time of year has a way of reminding us of the people who should be here, the voices we miss, and the love that never fades.

At St George’s Hospital Charity, we see every day how deeply love, care, and compassion matter. That’s why we’ve created a Dedication Page as a special place to honour and celebrate those who are no longer with us.

Over the last week, we’ve been surrounded by festive cheer... from carollers to Christmas wrappers! 🎄✨

The Heart and Lungs Singing Group joined us last week, filling the Grosvenor Wing entrance with song and joy, and today we were delighted to welcome volunteers from Killik and Co and Winkworth Tooting who kindly helped wrap Christmas presents for our young patients. 🎅

Thank you all so much for spreading such wonderful Christmas cheer, it truly means a lot! 💙

We were thrilled to see Richard Chavasse, Paediatric Respiratory Consultant at St George’s win Charity Champion of the Year at last week's gesh CARE Awards. St George's, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Group

Richard has taken on the London to Brighton bike ride for six consecutive years for St George’s Hospital Charity – raising £4,500-plus and supporting others to raise thousands more to improve facilities for children in our care. Richard’s involvement began in 2019 with a small group of paediatric staff and some friends and family – since then he has completed his own ride in 2020 when the official event was cancelled and taken on his final cycle this year as he looks ahead to retirement.

Congratulations Richard and thank you so much for all your support over the years!

Thank you so much to AFC Wimbledon for another amazing visit 💙
