Miss Marisa Taylor-Clarke, consultant obstetrician, always knew she wanted to make a difference. After beginning her medical training at 18, Marisa studied psychology and neuroscience before finding her passion for obstetric medicine.

We can support you in restoring your eyesight and renewing your confidence.

When the cornea, which is the clear, dome‑shaped surface at the front of the eye, becomes damaged, it can significantly affect both vision and the appearance of the eye.

For some patients, the most effective way to restore sight is through a corneal transplant, which is a procedure that replaces damaged corneal tissue with healthy donor tissue.

✨ A corneal transplant may be recommended when:

🔎Vision can no longer be improved with glasses or contact lenses
🔎Ongoing pain or discomfort is affecting day‑to‑day life despite other treatments

Mr Nizar Din, consultant in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery, specialises in restoring and enhancing vision, from complex cataracts to advanced surgery.

“I had an excellent experience at the Lindo Wing. Everyone (midwives, baby doctors, anaesthesiologists) was exceptionally calm, supportive, and reassuring throughout my stay.

“Every step was clearly explained, and all questions were answered with patience and care. Even with the smallest concern about my baby’s health, a neonatologist was promptly invited to carry out a full assessment, which gave me great peace of mind.

“I was also supported with my baby’s breast attachment immediately in the delivery room, which was incredibly helpful. The rooms are very well equipped, and during delivery both my and my baby’s heart rates were continuously monitored and carefully assessed.
