⭐It's here!⭐

We're DELIGHTED to announce the launch of 'Challenging Perceptions', a powerful art and photography exhibition, opening on Saturday 4th October at The Whitehall Historic House in Cheam.

The exhibition features professional portrait photographs of our trainees at their strongest and most confident by the wonderful Nova Photo Atelier as well as artwork completed by trainees under the guidance of talented local artists Jo Sharpe Artist and kindly funded by Arts Network Sutton

Please do come and visit this ground-breaking exhibition and of course, whilst you are there, pay a visit to Beans and Bloom Cafe for a delicious coffee and cake.

✨Second Beans and Bloom Café Planned!✨

We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Sutton Council to expand our Beans and Bloom offering by running a second café at the Sutton Life Centre, open from the beginning of November.

The new Beans and Bloom will offer delicious sandwiches, cakes and snacks plus a great selection of hot and cold drinks - more great opportunities for our trainees to learn new skills! 🙌

Please do pay us a visit to support if you are passing by and enjoy a delicious hot drink and snack! 🫶

At Nickel Support, mealtimes are about so much more than just food. Our trainees learn how to prepare delicious, healthy meals (like the amazing Malaysian chicken and green beans dish pictured) from scratch, building skills that support independent living and promote healthy eating.

But the magic doesn't stop in the kitchen… Once the food is ready, everyone sits down together to enjoy what they’ve made. These shared meals become a time to relax, chat, and connect.❤️

Many of our trainees go on to cook the meals again at home, sharing their new skills (and tasty dishes!) with family and friends. 🙌

The aim is to fully understand the process of making each dish from preparation to completion, so they are able to cook it for themselves or their families at home. 🍴

Our sessions at Nickel Support are geared towards employment. Our trainees learn to turn up on time, dress appropriately and behave in a professional manner.

As well as offering some paid employment for trainees in our shop, Interestingly Different, many others are learning important transferable skills in our coffee shop, upcycling sessions and kitchen sessions. Shout-out to our wonderful trainees!
