🍃 Sweat out the stress, breathe in the calm

More people are prioritising mental wellbeing and choosing healthier ways to unwind.

Saunas aren't just a wellness trend, they've supported mental health for thousands of years, rooted in Finnish traditions for healing and spiritual practices.

Saunas are reclaiming their role as sanctuaries for mental restoration; spaces to disconnect from the overwhelm of everyday life and reconnect with yourself.

🍃 The mental health science

After experiencing our infrared sauna dome technology, people understand why this is becoming essential for mental health and emotional balance.

🍃Research shows that the heat from infrared sauna sessions triggers your body to release natural mood boosters: beta-endorphins, dopamine and serotonin.

🍃These "happy hormones" create genuine euphoria (like a "runner's high") and stabilise emotional balance.

🍃Heat exposure boosts Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), which is a protein that protects brain cells and acts as a natural antidepressant, supporting long-term cognitive health.

🍃Instead of reaching for a drink to unwind, reach for genuine restoration.

Your mental wellbeing deserves the investment.

*Our claims are always backed by medical research and science:
Research undertaken by Laukkanen, Masuda, Hussain & Cohen, and Hannuksela & Vapaatalo consistently demonstrates that regular sauna bathing provides significant benefits for cognitive health, chronic pain management and mood enhancement across multiple peer-reviewed studies from 1999 to 2018.

Not sure if infrared sauna really works?

We hate beauty industry fads and false claims, so we make sure that our sauna session benefits are backed by proper science.

🍃 Get better skin
In laboratory tests, scientists found that infrared sauna increased both collagen and elastin in the skin after just 2 hours, with an increase of >600% of elastin and nearly 80% of collagen after 5 hours.

This makes infrared saunas an excellent way to boost these two essential ingredients of a toned, smooth and youthful face.

🍃 Enjoy improved exercise recovery
Infrared saunas help support post-exercise recovery for both strength and endurance training.

It produces similar effects to traditional sauna, better in some cases and without the cardiovascular stress that occurs in traditional saunas.

🍃 Remove harmful toxins
So many beauty products, treatments and diet fads claim to detoxify the body.

But getting your sweat on has been proven to remove harmful elements from the body, in many cases more effectively than other natural methods of excretion.

🍃 Improve your mood and energy
Saunas can be a great mood booster.

Research shows that whole-body heating stimulates the brain to produce serotonin and in a blind trial had a marked effect on depression even 6 weeks after treatment.

🍃 Lower blood pressure and lose inches
In one study, scientists studying infrared sauna use found a corresponding response of both decreased blood pressure and a reduced waist circumference.

In a second study, regular sauna use showed an average of 4% reduction in body fat.

🍃 Destress and up your immune system
This study linked a measurable reduction in stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol with sauna use.

What's more, it also measured immune response and found that it was also much improved.

🍃 Increase your flexibility
If you suffer from a stiff back or tight hamstrings, a sauna session is highly likely to help.

The warming effects of the sauna allow the body's muscle and tendon fibres to relax and stretch more than they do outside the sauna.

Feel Better. Recover Faster. Live Longer.

Did you know regular infrared sauna sessions can give your immune system a gentle, natural boost?

Here’s how it works:
• Mild heat stress from the sauna raises your core body temperature almost like a mini “fever” which can stimulate white blood cell production.
• Improved circulation helps immune cells move faster and reach where they’re needed.
• Lower stress levels from deep relaxation can reduce cortisol, supporting immune balance.
• Detox support may help reduce your body’s toxic burden, leaving your immune system with more energy to fight off real threats.

Whether you’re looking to stay well through the colder months or just give your body some extra resilience, consistent sauna use is a science-backed way to support your health.

🍃 September holds special meaning at SweatLounge because it's our chance to support women through life's challenging transitions during:

💜 PCOS Awareness Month
🧡 Pain Awareness Month
🌸 World Menopause Day (September 28)

We're sharing how infrared sauna therapy can make a significant difference for conditions many of our customers live with.

Infrared sauna therapy is clinically proven to help relieve menopause symptoms like hot flushes, joint pain and mood disruption while supporting PCOS management through reduced inflammation and natural hormone balance restoration.

🍃 PCOS & women's health
Not every sauna supports hormone balance like infrared therapy does. Our saunas offer:
• Gentle, low-level wavelengths that reduce inflammation
• Natural hormone balance support
• Improved overall wellness for PCOS management
• Best results: 2–3 sessions per week (30 minutes each)

🍃 Menopause support
Menopause brings disruptive symptoms, but infrared sauna therapy offers natural relief:

Eases hot flushes and improves blood flow and helps regulate body temperature
→Triggers endorphin release and deep relaxation for better sleep
→Soothes inflammation, aches and stiffness, relieving joint pain
→Enhances collagen and elastin production
→Deep sweating removes toxins and supports hormone balance
→Supports blood vessel function and circulation for improved heart health

Many women report fewer, milder hot flushes and improved overall wellbeing.

We would love to welcome you to try infrared sauna therapy as a proactive tool for real comfort, real healing and better quality of life.

“After years of battling eczema and steroid withdrawal, I finally felt relief, not from creams, diets, or potions but from regular infrared sauna sessions at SweatLounge. My skin calmed, the itch subsided, and the redness around my eyes and neck faded… but more importantly, my confidence and peace of mind returned. The beautiful, relaxing space and welcoming team turned each session into an emotional reset as much as a physical one. If you’re chasing true self-care that actually heals, you might just find it here.” — Sam Garcia

Research shows infrared light supports circulation, angiogenesis, collagen production, and inflammation reduction to complement natural healing. Plus, it helps you unwind, recalibrate cortisol, and melt away stress which, as we know all too well, can trigger flare-ups.

Eczema may not be cured, but it can be soothed from the inside out. Always chat with a dermatologist before starting something new. But if you’re seeking real self-care, SweatLounge’s infrared-light oasis could be your missing link.

This is your opportunity to invigorate your whole body health with infrared sauna, from head to toe.
Our infrared sauna therapy uses the electromagnetic spectrum to warm your body at a cellular level, delivering a deep tissue sweat and advanced health and healing.

🍃 Here are some of the skin health benefits:
Infrared light targets the epidermis and dermis layers, stimulating collagen production and improving appearance.

→ Reduces wrinkles and scars
→ Firms and improves skin tone and elasticity
→ Effective for acne, eczema and psoriasis
→ Leaves skin soft, supple and refreshed

🍃 Red light therapy face masks work hard too:
• Reduces wrinkles and fine lines by stimulating collagen production
• Boosts collagen and elastin for firmer, more supple skin
• Evens out skin tone, reduces pigmentation and redness
• Calms inflammation and soothes sensitive skin (including rosacea)
• Supports deep healing and enhances blood circulation for that natural, radiant glow
• Safe, non-invasive and convenient for at-home use

According to consultant dermatologist Dr Jonathan Kentley, it works by causing skin to absorb light energy, triggering cellular changes through photobiomodulation (PBM): "This allows new blood vessels and skin cells to be formed, along with more collagen and elastin. PBM has also been used to treat acne as it has anti-inflammatory effects and reduces oil in the skin."
Step inside, reset and experience what advanced health and healing really feels like.

78% of adults report constant fatigue.

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is more common than most people think and infrared sauna therapy offers major relief for those battling CFS.

CFS isn’t just “being tired.”

It’s months (or years) of exhaustion, plus brain fog, sleep struggles and aches.

With the use of infrared, studies* show a significant reduction in daily fatigue, as well as improvements in mood, anxiety and even social/work life.

Average fatigue levels dropped from 6.7 to 4.8 on a 10-point scale, without any reported side effects.

Infrared saunas use gentle far-infrared energy, deeply warming your body, boosting circulation and shifting your system into serious “rest and digest” mode.

Regular sessions can help break the fatigue cycle and improve your overall wellness, naturally and gently.

I would like to offer anyone who wants to experience the healthcare benefits that I feel 20% off their first treatment.

3️⃣ Reduces inflammation: Aids both acute and chronic inflammation, such as in autoimmune conditions.

4️⃣ Accelerates muscle recovery: Speeds up muscle recovery after exercise by increasing blood flow and reducing soreness.

5️⃣ Lowers stress & anxiety: Helps lower cortisol, your main stress hormone and supports general relaxation.

6️⃣ Supports brain health: Infrared heat promotes myelin growth, keeping nerve signals strong and your mind sharp.

7️⃣ Reduces dementia risk: Long-term studies found regular sauna users cut their risk of dementia by up to 66%.

8️⃣ Detoxes heavy metals: Sweat out environmental toxins (like mercury and lead) that harm mental and physical health.

15/08/2025

I hear it all the time and I used to say it myself: “I can’t add another thing to my plate.”

With degenerative disc disease and 2 young kids, my schedule (and energy) is often maxed out.

What finally made a difference for me was finding one self-care routine that could actually replace the need for several others.

That’s why I’m such an advocate of infrared sauna therapy. Instead of piecing together different appointments such as physio for pain relief, meditation for stress, facials for skin health etc., I now spend 30 minutes in the sauna, and it ticks every box.

If, like me, you like real stats, research has shown that regular infrared sauna use can reduce pain from chronic conditions like mine and cut muscle recovery times in half.

One Japanese medical study on something called Waon therapy involved patients with chronic pain spending a short period in an infrared sauna, followed by 30 minutes of quiet rest while wrapped in blankets.

“Waon” means “soothing warmth” in Japanese, and this method uses gentle infrared heat that penetrates deeply but isn’t as harsh as a traditional sauna.

Participants saw, on average, a 50% reduction in pain after just one session, with even greater relief after ten sessions over a few weeks.

Other studies have shown that people who use saunas multiple times per week have a 66% lower risk of dementia compared to those who only go once a week.

It doesn’t just help with pain relief either. Sauna therapy also helps regulate mood by boosting beta-endorphins (your body’s own natural painkillers) and it’s been shown to lower stress hormones and even support deeper, more restful sleep.

Self-care doesn’t have to mean “adding more”, it can mean replacing a bunch of scattered things with one that genuinely works and gives my body and mind what they need.

I would like to offer anyone who wants to experience the healthcare benefits that I do 20% off their first treatment.

If you’ve got questions, drop me a DM and I’ll be happy to chat.
