Photo taken back when I was 17 at the time, and they used to call me Fat Sam. This was a few hours before the new year of 2010 began. Little did I know at the time, but it would be the last New Year's celebration I'd enjoy out in public for a few years to come. Thinking back to those times with the mindset I had then, never would I have imagined I'd be in the fitness industry doing what I know. And when I think about that, it's a reminder to me that we have no clue of what our future holds because the life I lived then is black and white to the life I live now, the one thing that resembles it, is probably my desire to do business and be good at it. Wherever you find yourself today, know that things can change, appreciate where you are right now, but also know that if you need to break out of it, you can; you just need to take one big, bold commitment to yourself and stay consistent with it. When I came out of prison, I decided on one thing: "I'm never wasting years of my life in a place like that again." That was my decision, what's yours?
