I specialise in helping people work with and combat the effects of stress - especially busy working women in their 40's and 50's who are approaching or dealing with the menopause and who want to feel more in control with better balance and a happier, healthier outlook on life. I use a naturopathic approach, combining good nutrition and coaching, with therapeutic reflexology and massage.

I just suffered the humiliation and having my shopping re-scanned at the supermarket! You know those self scanning machines - ooooo they can be so tricky!
As the assistant re-scanned my shopping, she literally said “i wish my shopping basket looked like this.” She said it would never occur to her to buy passionfruit for example. We love passion fruit in our house! The perfect addition to a bowl of thick yoghurt, for example.
What does your weekly shop look like? I’m more importantly is your diet properly supporting your health?
This week I’m launching a pre-Christmas ‘Power Hour’ health coaching session.
And you can DM me to book one xx

Is it just the word porridge that some people hate? It conjures up creepy, tasteless wallpaper paste to so many people. It’s probably what they were served up as children ! It’s time to rethink this inexpensive, nutritious warming and utterly pimpable delight.
1. 🥣Soak your oats either overnight or for 10 minutes in the morning in water add Linseeds, Chia seeds and flesh seed for extra protein and hormone balancing.
2. 🫐 Add half a cup of frozen berries.- huge antioxidant and vitamin C hit as well as making it look quite pretty!
3. Warm it through before adding milk - the oats and seeds get nice and plump and don’t take on that milky thickness, plus it makes the whole dish way more hydrating
4. But it’s just started to cook add some milk but keep it on a really low simmer.
5. The berries will burst and you should have a lovely consistency. Pimp up with pumpkin seeds, nuts, yoghurt, any kind of breakfast Sprinkle
6. What you can’t see in this crafty dish is that I have also added a teaspoon of marine collagen half a teaspoon of MSM and half a teaspoon of vitamin C powder.
But you will only know this if you are still reading! Comment ‘bloody good idea’ below if you think adding collagen into porridge is a bloody good idea ❤️❤️❤️❤️🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷❤️❤️❤️❤️

Today's Daily Nugget is all about Vitamin A. It's one of those ones we hear a bit about (something called pro-Vitamin A that gets added to skin/hair products?) but what is is, why do we need and it and how can we easily incorporate it into our diet?

So - in short:

1) Vitamin A is vital for the physical health of your eyes & to maintain good vision (its other name is retinol). It's also a big part of cell growth (hence the skin/hair connection, but also reproductive and bone health) and immune strength (think mucous membranes / natural defence).

2) It's fat soluble, so mostly found in organ meats, oily fish, dairy products and eggs

3) The good news is that your body can make Vitamin A with beta-carotene, which you find in brightly coloured fruit & veg such as pumpkin, squash , sweet potatoes, carrots, peppers, melon & mango, and also greens such as kale, spinach and broccoli.

4) This conversion happens using a specific enzyme in the small intestine, so all you he to do is eat the veg!
Easy! especially as this time of the year with all those pumpkins smashing about...

Today is officially the final day of our 21 Day Reset. Well done to everyone who joined for taking the time to focus on your health, recognising the need for a little help and support, and continuing the journey in the trajectory of complete wellness. Every day we live on Planet Earth is different, but every day we can make the decision to put our health at the forefront of our consciousness and step in that direction. Even taking time to sit and mindfully drink a cool glass of water is win on the self-care front.

Remember that everything we eat or drink either contributes to or detracts from our overall health. And if we are mostly banking good days, we can allow ourselves a few indulgences here and there. Interesting how those indulgences change when seen through a healthy lens though!

I call this attitude Deep Nourishment, and it comes from a place of self-love and self respect. In this space, how much more able are we to extend love and kindness to the people and planet around us?

Here’s are 3 of my favourite pumpkin and squash recipes to help you celebrate this deep Autumn.

I've been writing a daily 'nutrition nugget' for my Autumn Nutrition Reset Group and I've got really into it, so have set myself the challenge of writing everyday. I'm going to post them daily on here for some extra accountability, so let me know if you find them useful! xx

October 13th:

Hi everyone -

Today the mission is simple: Hydrate for Health & Happiness!

In his book ‘Your Body’s Many Cries for Water’ the author’s claim that most modern illnesses spring from one unrecognised cause, is backed up over and over again. Even low level de-hydration can exacerbate many conditions we all live with, from joint stiffness to brain fog, digestive issues to energy levels and many more. It’s a fascinating read!

Thinking principally about the digestive system however, the start of the week is a great time for more of a ‘deep clean,’ where we take the pressure off our intestines by consuming simple, clean foods (such as homemade soups and salads) and up our intake of plain water. All the major digestive organs, including the liver, have the pressure taken off them, and a deeper level of de-toxification can take place.

As fresh fruits and veggies contain plenty of fibre and water & are brimming with minerals and vitamins, adding an extra few glasses of fresh water can create the perfect environment for gently restoring and resetting our vital digestive function.

Simply make water your beverage of choice for 24 hours and you will notice the difference in your energy levels apart from anything!

Have a great day.
