Once more, the CEO of the electric vehicle company made headlines in an interview with Don Lemon for his new podcast. This time, he hinted that the much-delayed electric vehicle might not fit the traditional car mold and could even have flying capabilities.
In the interview, Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, discussed the collaboration between the two companies for the new Tesla Roadster. Musk said the new Roadster is “not even really a car”, suggesting it might fly and would feature unconventional elements like a non-traditional steering wheel.
“The only way to do something cooler than the Cybertruck is to combine SpaceX and Tesla technology to create something that’s not even really a car,” the Tesla CEO told Lemon. He added that it would be “something that’s never existed before” and it would have “Jetsons vibes.”
When Lemon inquired about the possibility of it being a flying car, Musk responded with a "maybe," leaving the door open to the concept.
