As we get closer to Christmas Day, it’s a moment to reflect on what we’ve achieved together in 2025.

This year, our Sodexo UK & Ireland teams have delivered outstanding service and innovation across diverse sectors. They have delivered exceptional food and workplace experiences across many industries, partnered on initiatives that strengthen communities, whilst also ensuring vital services operate seamlessly.

A huge thank you to our colleagues, clients, and partners for your trust, collaboration, and commitment. Your efforts have driven meaningful impact, whether through exceptional service delivery, sustainability progress, or social value initiatives like our Stop Hunger charity.

Many of our teams will continue working throughout the holidays to ensure seamless service, and we deeply appreciate their dedication. For those taking a well-earned break, we hope it brings joy and time with loved ones.

We were delighted to welcome Thierry Delaporte, the new Sodexo Global CEO, to the UK & Ireland this week – his first visit to our region.

During the visit, Thierry spent time with colleagues, clients and partners across the business, gaining deeper insight into the impact we make every day and the ambition we have for 2026 and beyond.

We were proud to showcase the innovation, expertise and passion of our teams during his visit, which was powered by exceptional food and hospitality from Fooditude during a meeting at our London HQ. He also experienced our award-winning The Orangery restaurant, which is run by The Good Eating Company.

His visit marks an important moment as we continue building momentum behind our growth ambitions, strengthening client partnerships and further elevating our food, workplace and people-focused experiences.

Feast & Be Merry with Kitchen Works!

As workplaces across the country continue to be productive throughout the festive season, Kitchen Works commits to creating moments of celebration in the workday. We recognise the value in the occasions our restaurants create which bring people together, building team spirit and delivering seasonal innovation and comforting nostalgia.

While festive favourites remain a staple across our menus, and Christmas lunches get underway across the country, our Kitchen Works chefs have also crafted innovative new dishes celebrating a mix of tradition and global flavours.

Seasonal heroes include:

Hand crafted Winter Chutney to top our made in house sausage rolls.

A Stuffing falafel Dukkah bowl, with an innovative festive twist on traditional flavours of stuffing with a blend of Middle Eastern flavours.

We’re delighted to announce that Swizzels has extended their partnership with Sodexo for a further three years - bringing our collaboration to an impressive 18 years so far. This continued trust is a testament to our commitment to delivering everyday value and caring support for our clients.

At the heart of our food service offer is the Kitchen Works restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday. It’s a welcoming space for Swizzels colleagues to meet, relax and enjoy delicious, honest food. Menus are curated using seasonal and local ingredients, prepared by Sodexo’s skilled chefs, and include a wide range of affordable, healthy and sustainable options - from sandwiches and salads to jacket potatoes, soups and main meals.

We’re also proud to have WasteWatch in operation across the site, helping us tackle food waste in the kitchen and supporting our sustainability goals as we drive towards Net Zero by 2040.

Here at Modern Recipe our focus on all day food for modern living threads all the way through this year’s festive menus. Our Modern Recipe teams and Chefs create dishes that spark moments of connection every day – giving our customers many reasons to eat with us especially as the days get shorter.

This festive season you’ll see traditional favourites with a twist, with our Festive Tapas taking centre stage. Who knew Buffalo Sprouts would be such a hit, paired with a plant based celeriac mac n’ cheese, pots of pigs in blankets, crispy stuffing balls and many more - our on-site teams are cooking up a storm.

After showcasing outstanding creativity and skill among Europe’s best in the semi-finals, Gordon will represent the UK & Ireland region at the grand finale, which for the first time ever will be held in London this March.

Gordon’s inventive approach and passion for sustainable cooking are a testament to the spirit of culinary innovation at Sodexo. His journey inspires our teams to push boundaries and set new standards in food excellence.

Meet Roman Lovett – representing UK & Ireland at the European finals of Sodexo’s Global Cook for Change! competition.

Roman, Lead Development Chef at Fooditude, is championing plant-based innovation with his dish: glazed lion’s mane, aubergine cannelloni stuffed with shiitake mushrooms, served in a seafood mushroom broth. Partnering with local grower Angry Monk, Roman proves and flavour can go hand in hand.
