A little bruising after ptosis surgery is completely normal and temporary.

During surgery, we work on the tiny muscles and delicate blood vessels of the upper eyelid that lift the eye open. Even with the most meticulous technique, a small amount of bleeding under the skin can occur, this is what causes bruising.

What to expect:

🔹 Mild swelling or discolouration for the first few days

🔹 Bruising that can shift from purple ➜ yellow ➜ fade within 1–2 weeks

🔹 It may look uneven at first, but this settles beautifully as healing progresses

You can support recovery by:
✔ Sleeping with your head elevated
✔ Using a cold compress in the first 48 hours
✔ Avoiding blood-thinning medications or supplements (if advised)
✔ Being patient, gentle healing takes time

Within days, you’ll start to see the brighter, more open result of your ptosis correction.

You’ve probably seen skincare claiming to mimic anti-wrinkle injections and often, they’re talking about Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, also known as Argireline®️.

🧬 This clever cosmetic peptide helps relax tiny facial micro-movements, the ones that deepen expression lines like crow’s feet or forehead creases.
💧 Applied topically, it smooths and softens the skin’s surface, especially when combined with hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid.
📅 With consistent use (around 4–8 weeks), you can see a gentle improvement in texture and fine lines.

It’s non-invasive, subtle, and perfect for those who want their skin to look refreshed.

I’m so delighted to share something very special with you 🙌 my new Relax & Refresh Eye Mask. 👁✨

Designed for the delicate periorbital area, this luxurious treatment is enriched with skin-soothing peptides and multi-molecular weight hyaluronic acids to visibly hydrate, refresh, and comfort tired eyes.

Our calming botanical complex — Centella, Chamomile, and Licorice — helps relieve stressed skin, reduce puffiness, and soften the appearance of fine lines.

In clinical studies, 100% of women reported their eye area felt moisturised, soothed, and nourished, with zero irritation.

Stay tuned for our official launch 🙏 🎉

Xanthelasma are cholesterol deposits that sit just under the surface of the skin, often on the inner corners of the eyelids.
They’re harmless, but understandably bothersome, specially when they start to become more visible or affect confidence.

While skincare can’t dissolve Xanthelasma, there are safe, effective treatment options including:
✨ Laser therapy or radiofrequency to gently remove the deposits
✨ Chemical cautery or surgical excision for more defined or deeper lesions

It’s important to check your cholesterol levels too, as Xanthelasma can occasionally be an external sign of an internal imbalance.

Before yoour oculoplastic surgery, your mindset matters.

When we consider eyelid surgery, we often focus on the physical — skin, muscles, symmetry. But there’s another equally important factor: your mental and emotional readiness.

👁✨ Surgery is a journey, not just a procedure.
It requires patience, resilience, and realistic expectations. Healing takes time, and results evolve gradually.

If you’re feeling anxious, under emotional strain, or struggling with self-image, it’s worth taking a step back before committing. Surgery should come from a place of self-care, not self-criticism.

As an oculoplastic surgeon, my role is not only to assess your anatomy, but to ensure you’re in the right headspace to make a decision that supports your overall well-being.

A chalazion is a small, usually painless bump on the eyelid caused by a blocked oil gland (meibomian gland).
When the gland becomes clogged, oil builds up and creates a firm nodule that can feel tender or appear red and swollen.

It’s not an infection (though it can start as one), it’s more like a tiny cyst.

If it persists beyond a few weeks or keeps recurring, it’s important to see a specialist, especially to rule out other eyelid conditions and consider in-clinic treatment.

In some cases, a small procedure under local anaesthetic can remove it quickly and comfortably.

Chalazion are common, manageable, and nothing to be embarrassed about, but they’re also a reminder of how vital daily eyelid hygiene is for long-term eye health.
