So grateful to my wonderful patient for sharing her before & after 👁️✨ This is a combination of upper lid blepharoplasty + ptosis correction.
When eyelids feel heavy and vision is affected, it’s not always just “excess skin.” Often, there is an underlying muscle weakness (ptosis) hidden beneath the hooding.

In this case, I:
✅ Lifted the heavy hooded skin
✅ Repaired the droopy eyelid muscle
✅ Restored both function and natural eye shape

This is why face-to-face consultation matters. Treating the skin alone is not enough if the muscle is the real issue.

An inspiring few days at Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) with Teoxane — and a real privilege to also teach alongside an incredible Teoxane co-faculty. I’m proud to be contributing to the global conversation on facial ageing — helping redefine how we understand and treat the face through a mechanism-led, evidence-based approach.

What stood out most this year was the shift in aesthetic medicine — from structure alone → to cellular signalling, regeneration, and skin behaviour.

So valuable reconnecting with friends and colleagues from all over the world, sharing ideas, challenging thinking, and pushing our field forward together.

Grateful to my lovely patient for sharing this before & after of a transconjunctival lower lid blepharoplasty 👁️✨ Also known as the “scarless” or internal approach, this is one of the most requested treatments in my clinic, for good reason.
No visible external scars, preservation of muscle and skin, and a more natural, refreshed result.
It’s a minimally invasive technique that avoids many of the risks associated with traditional external approaches, while still effectively treating under-eye bags.

Recently, I’ve seen claims questioning retinol safety and even suggesting avoiding sunscreen. This is deeply concerning, because both contradict decades of evidence-based medicine.

In aesthetics, our responsibility is to stay grounded in evidence.

Ever noticed one side hurts more during injectables? This is completely normal and does not affect your results.
It comes down to normal anatomy:
1️⃣ The trigeminal nerve varies slightly from side to side
2️⃣ Your face is naturally asymmetrical (muscle, fat, skin)
3️⃣ One side may be more expressive or tense
4️⃣ Your brain can process pain signals differently on each side

All of this means one side can simply feel more sensitive.
