Have you ever wondered if your strengths have masked your struggles? You might be what’s known as twice-exceptional (2e)
We often talk about 2e children. Those who are both intellectually gifted and living with learning or neurological differences like ADHD, autism or dyslexia.
Many 2e adults also go undiagnosed for decades. They might be battling executive dysfunction, anxiety, sensory overwhelm or challenges in social connection. Often, it’s only when they see similar struggles in their children that they begin to put the pieces together.
The rise in awareness around neurodiversity is helping adults find answers. A diagnosis can offer clarity, validation, and a starting point for growth.
Here are some things you might relate to:
Feeling “too much” in some ways, and “not enough” in others?
Exceptional in your work, but overwhelmed by everyday tasks?
Highly verbal but always felt like an outsider?
You might be 2e.
