Sometimes the most powerful prescription isn’t a pill — it’s a hug for your younger self. 💫

The “hug your younger self” trend may look like just a picture, but at its core, it’s a reminder of the importance of inner child work.

So many of the challenges I see in clinic — from burnout, fatigue, digestive symptoms, anxiety, even hormonal imbalances — are not just medical, but deeply connected to how our nervous system and psychology have learned to cope since childhood.

One of the tools I use in some cases, is ask my client to print a picture of their younger self, write a letter to her/him and read it to them tenderly whilst looking at the picture. It invokes facing instead of running away from your inner child. A skill I learnt during my training in Schema Therapy, not GP training.

That’s why when I design management plans for my patients, I integrate my skills from both trainings, psychology into the clinical picture — because sometimes, addressing the root cause means giving space for the inner child who still longs for safety, care, and healing.

And this isn’t just a concept — in my clinic, I provide tools for inner child healing, schema work, and nervous system support, so that your treatment plan doesn’t just patch the problem, but transforms it from the inside out.

That is how Dr Houda became a highly respected London GP.

A major aim for me setting up the business Dr Houda 360 was always social impact and contribution to the greater good, that I could extend the reach of the wealth knowledge and skills I’m blessed with, not only to the patients that I’m privileged to meet and provide personalised care for at Harley Street, but also to those whom I might never have the opportunity to meet, and who could somewhere in the UK or the world benefit from information or motivational messages I share.

On international Tennis 🎾 day, here’s a tribute to one of the best sports ever, with memories from and

Tennis is one of the best sports for cardiovascular health and is also a great connection and active pastime with friends whilst also soaking up some vitamin D. So, it’s a win win healthy activity, one of my favourite in the Spring-Summer season, both to play and watch.

In London, there are several courts one could hire and several courses one can join to learn via the where you can search for courses in your area. My favourite to play is Regent park, although my pictures above at at Hyde Park.

That dress is a celebration of all those sessions at the gym, healthy eating and self care. I will use it as a reminder for motivation for the gym in this cold weather. You should do the same with yours. Fitness especially in winter is hard work, it requires motivation, dedication and consistency, and that is what you’d be celebrating when you get your dream body, it’s not about the figure but what it took for you to achieve it.

The Algerian love knot is a national jewellery in Algeria, that celebrates our long standing marine history. Algerian sailors used to make knots necklaces for their lovers, as a promise of return. It’s talked about in the James Bond movie 🎥 Casino Royale.
