🌟 Pauline’s Perseverance 🌟
We just had to share this from one of our incredible clients, Pauline — a brilliant reminder that with the right support, it’s never too late to rediscover the things we love.
Pauline lives with arthritis in her hands and hadn’t picked up her knitting needles in years. But when she found out she’s expecting not one, but two great-great-grandchildren (Wow!), her daughter gently encouraged her to give it another go.
The pattern was unfamiliar, and the cotton yarn felt beautiful but tricky to manage. There were moments when things didn’t go to plan — including an entire week spent patiently unpicking a section — but Pauline kept going.
She’s now completed a gorgeous cardigan for the baby girl — who may have arrived already! — and is halfway through the one for the baby boy due soon.
💬 Suzy, one of our Care Professionals, said:
“I’m so proud of Pauline. It’s taken patience, resilience, and love — and the result is just beautiful.”
