🌿 When the Body Speaks, Listen.

A couple of weeks ago, something needed to be expressed.

I brought it forward honestly, but the other person wasn’t available to receive it in that moment. So I held it in. Told myself it could wait.

Within days, I started experiencing pain—mid-left back, then my knee.

It lingered for over a week.

And then… the moment I finally spoke my truth and let it out?
The pain disappeared. Within two hours.

Because your body remembers.
It stores what you don’t express.
It holds the tension until you’re ready to release it.

This wasn’t punishment—it was a loving nudge.
A reminder to have my own back.
To stand for my truth.
To choose self-expression as a form of self-care.

This weekend I have been in Leeds with .uk founder and teacher Despina.

We have been learning the art of how to nurture pregnant mothers, serving the specific needs that result from all the changes both physical and mental and emotional during this very special time.

We learnt about some common misconceptions also… one big one is that massage should not be done during the first trimester of pregnancy… contrary to this… massage supports and soothes the body and mind reducing the effects of potential risk factors in pregnancy such as stress.

From the Amenti Rite of Passage Teen Retreat.

The western world seems to demand that teenagers decide what they want to do with their life when they've barely experienced it. In a fast paced ever-changing world, perhaps a more helpful thing for them to uncover is "Who are you, really?"

This Creative Wellness Teen Retreat is a unique offering, utilising a combination of creative and wellness tools to co-create a 'Coming of Age' Ritual Performance which will be shared with the parents.

This journey will help each beautiful soul to gain a deeper understanding and connection with themselves, each other and the land. With a combination of creativity and wellness practices, each participant will be equipped with new skills to help navigate their life and maintain connection with their own innate wisdom.

It will be running alongside the Amenti Women's Retreat which is enjoying it's 5th year in Luxor, Egypt, this year. An ideal opportunity for Mothers to experience a beautiful, meaningful transformational retreat while their Teens are well nourished. Mothers and Teens programme runs seperately and reconnect in the evening for over night is their villa.

I learn so much by watching the body wisdom take over during energy healing sessions with clients…

When the mind steps out of the way and we let the energy do the work we can witness the unravelling of condensed energy work it’s way through the body.

When we surrender to the process and allow the breath to be what it wants to be, we can witness spontaneously occurring breathwork that teaches us how to balance the body to bring it back to health.

In the last week alone I have witnessed this with 3 of my clients during my bodywork therapies.

This is a common occurrence with clients who find their way to me. Within one or two sessions these spontaneous energy can begin and the journey we go on together is such a beautiful one.

I bow down to the wisdom of the body and the breath. My role simply to see the visions, witness the unfolding, honour the process, hold the space, allow life to speak through me when needed to encourage the surrender and give the mind permission to allow…

And to support the integration.

Today I saw that which was present in the form of distortions unwind from the body and become once again pure love…

Wow just wow…
