A Historic Victory for Animal Welfare: Belgium's Bold Stand Against Wildlife Exploitation
Animals were never designed to serve as trophies displayed on walls.
Belgium has made a groundbreaking decision by officially prohibiting the import of hunting trophies, demonstrating a resolute commitment to safeguard endangered and vulnerable wildlife species. This landmark legislation represents a powerful message of compassion and responsibility toward our planet's most at-risk creatures.
Under this new ban, animal remains including horns, skins, skulls, and other body parts can no longer be transported into Belgium as hunting souvenirs. By eliminating this market, the country directly undermines the economic incentive that drives trophy hunting around the world. Without demand, the cruel practice loses its financial motivation.
The principle behind this legislation is unmistakable and profound: Animals are not objects to acquire as status symbols. They are not decorations to showcase your achievements or wealth. They are sentient beings—living creatures with intrinsic value, emotions, and the right to live free from human exploitation.
This ban sends a critical signal to the international community: respecting wildlife isn't merely an environmental choice—it's a moral imperative. Every nation has the power to protect vulnerable species by taking similar action. Belgium's courageous step paves the way for a world where animals are valued for their existence, not for their parts.

ALOKA, THE PEACE DOG WAS ONCE A STRAY. NOW HE WALKS WITH MONKS FOR PEACE ✨️💫

Aloka the Peace Dog

Walk for Peace

A stray dog from India has become the star of a cross-country peace march in the United States.

His name is Aloka, the colour of his body is safron (the colour of Buddha's robe) and also has a white heart 🤍 shaped spot on his forehead.

Aloka is walking alongside Buddhist monks on a 120-day “Walk for Peace” journey from Texas to Washington D.C., covering nearly 3,700 kilometres.

Aloka first joined the monks during a similar march in India and never left. Now believed to be around four years old, the Indian dog calmly follows daily rituals, joins prayers, and greets strangers along the route.

His quiet loyalty and gentle presence have turned him into a viral symbol of peace and kindness.

Peace has four legs, too. 🐾🙏

💫 Could you let go of comfort?
💫 Could you walk without ego?
💫 Could you choose peace, even briefly?

You only need:
✨️ One mindful breath
✨️ One peaceful step
✨️ One kind thought

🙏 May all beings be safe.
🙏 May all beings be free from suffering.
