While facial steaming can seem appealing, I almost never use it on a bare skin, especially for those with sensitive skin or certain conditions, as it can lead to dehydration, irritation, and potentially worsen conditions like rosacea or melasma. How do I use it then? Over plant enzyme mask or desincrustation gel! Heat activates protein digesting enzymes and softens sebaceous blockages making them ready for extraction. At the same time the mask preserves skin's moisture and saves it from overheating✨️
