I’ve just watched Kryolan’s new video celebrating 80 years behind the brand and it really resonated with me.

I first used Kryolan products when training at the Glauco Rossi School of Makeup, and it’s been part of my work ever since. From makeup products to camouflage cream to medical tattooing, the products have always been consistent, high quality, and created with real care.

What I love about this history is how products designed for theatre also became invaluable in medicine: from Archibald McIndoe (Veil Cover Cream) and The Guinea Pig Club to the patients we help today. Few brands can say their work has had such lasting impact.

It’s inspiring to see behind the scenes of a brand I’ve trusted for nearly 30 years. Congratulations Kryolan on 80 years of dedication and world-class service.

Looking ahead, I’d love to explore collaboration on pigments for medical tattooing. There are still gaps in the colour systems, and with Kryolan’s expertise, I believe we could make a real difference for patients.

If anyone at Kryolan would like to connect, I’d be delighted to start that conversation.

To mark our 80th anniversary, we created a brand film that takes you inside the world of Kryolan. This video offers a behind-the-scenes look at what goes int...

Scald burns from hot water bottles can cause a loss of pigment (hypopigmentation), textural changes, and permanent scarring.

Medical tattooing is a specialist technique that uses pigment to restore colour to scarred or depigmented skin. It doesn’t remove scars but can significantly reduce their visibility, helping them blend more naturally with the surrounding skin.

Is the Menopause causing your hair to thin? Have you noticed patchiness around your temples or crown?

Very commonly, the volume and condition of hair will worsen as a person ages, and with many women this can also mean a change in hair growth. You may find more hair in the sink or your hair brush over time, especially once peri menopause or menopause starts. For some women they will experience a more profound hair loss, with thinning at the temples, the crown or a more general all over thinning.

Female Pattern Hair Loss (FPHL) can be a cause for distress and sometimes leads to a change in lifestyle for many women.

If this is of concern to you there are a number of treatments that can help.

For some people with port wine stains, these become part of their identity over the years, and a special feature that makes them unique. If this is the case for you, you may prefer to partially conceal rather than fully cover the area. Medical Tattooing cannot remove your port wine stain, but it can help by implanting skin coloured pigment to tone down the red/purple colouring.

At Rae Denman Medical Tattoo & Expert Witness Ltd we receive many enquires for Port Wine Stain Birthmark Tattooing. To help patients who are considering this treatment I’ve formulated the Top 5 Q&As about tattooing Port Wine Stains for you in this quick and easy-to-read blog.

Our Story

My medical tattooing and cosmetic permanent make up practice is all about you, the client. I combine my extensive training, medical background and body art skills with a warm, empathetic approach to make you feel completely at ease. If you’re here because you want to address a visible difference, you can be confident that this is the first step towards a reinvigorated confidence and zest for getting on with your life.

If you want to enhance your features through skilfully applied semi-permanent makeup, you can be confident too; that you’ll get stunning results in a safe and high-quality environment.

As a specialist Medical Tattooist based in the South East of England, I have developed a reputation for scar camouflage and facial feature restoration in the field of Permanent Cosmetics, Medical Tattooing and Skin Camouflage.

I am a member of The British Association of Skin Camouflage and trained with them for temporary coverage of burns and scars and The Finishing Touches Group for Permanent Cosmetics and Medical Tattooing. Since then I have undertaken further specialist training with Nouveau Contour for brows and lips, and The Linda Paradis Group for tattoo removal.
