Meet one of trainers, Nicholas Fern. Nicholas is a successful freelance journalist from south Wales. His patch is reporting on technology and business. Diagnosed as autistic with OCD and an anxiety disorder aged 14, his difficulties with neurotypical socialising became evident when he arrived at secondary school, where he found understanding social cues, emotions and sarcasm didn't come naturally. He explains how this impacts his working life:
"I have found large offices - and being around people I don't know - difficult as well as the loud noises in the office. As a journalist if I go to a conference or an event and there are big crowds, I become really socially awkward and struggle to make small talk. In my career I have been able to focus on particular areas of my autistic interest - for example the latest trends in technology and - and this this has been fundamental to my success of my career. I've very persistent. Some people think I'm annoying and a nag but I just want to get stuff done."

Meet Kirsti Hadley, one of NeuroUniverse's trainers. An experienced speaker, she has spoken to members of the Soho House group among other audiences, about what it was like to get identified as an AuDHDer (being autistic and an ADHDer) in her late 40s. Here she talks about how her neurodivergent brain influences her behavior, learning, working, and emotional well-being. Her compelling presentations are not only informative but funny and relatable. By sharing her knowledge, Kirsti Hadley contributes significantly to the ongoing dialogue about the potential and challenges of the Neuro-Universe.

🧠 At NeuroUniverse, we are dedicated to creating neuro-inclusive workplaces by respecting and valuing different brain types. Our mission is to eliminate barriers hindering neurodivergent individuals from thriving at work.

🌟 We recognize the unique strengths and challenges that come with different "neurotypes," including autistic brains, ADHD, dyslexia, and 'neurotypical' ones. Our training programs focus on leveraging these strengths and mitigating challenges to boost productivity, enhance retention, reduce conflicts, and promote better mental health among neurodivergent employees.

💡 What sets us apart? All our training is developed and delivered by neurodivergent employees. Our sessions feature video interviews where neurodivergent individuals share their personal experiences, highlighting both the challenges and joys they have encountered.
