Last Thursday, residents enjoyed a lovely pet therapy visit from Magic Ponies 🐴

Dexter and Merla delighted everyone, even visiting residents in their rooms. We hope to welcome them back in the summer! 💛

🎨 Parkfield Care Home Art Exhibition 🎨 We were delighted to hold our very own art exhibition at Parkfield Care Home, showcasing the wonderful arts and crafts projects created by our residents over the past few months with Sima.

Alongside these, Equal Arts also displayed their beautiful pieces from The Moving World project, featuring wooden sculptures and the stories behind them.

The exhibition included a wide variety of creative work, such as:
✨ Person-centred projects including a shooting star and floral artwork
🌊 “Under the Sea” clay magnet creations, which visitors were able to take home as a gift
🎄 Die-cut card making, with residents creating their own Christmas cards
📖 Zine books and personalised notebooks
🎁 The Giving Tree – handmade clay decorations gifted by residents to family and friends
🌳 A family tree made from upcycled jigsaw pieces, which will remain on display in the home

The exhibition was a huge success, and we received so many positive comments about the creativity, effort, and hard work our residents put into their artwork.

A big thank you to everyone involved for making this such a special and inspiring event 💛

🎄✨ We were delighted to welcome Hayes Town Chapel Church to Parkfield Nursing Home for a wonderful afternoon filled with festive carols and a beautiful Christmas service.

The air was truly full of Christmas cheer as residents and guests enjoyed mince pies, sherry, tea and coffee together.

A huge thank you to the church for their kindness and the thoughtful gifts donated to our residents - a lovely way to share the spirit of the season. ❤️🎶

On Tuesday, our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon out at Flowerland Garden Centre 🌺✨

We spent time admiring the beautiful festive displays, did a bit of Christmas shopping and ended the visit with a hot drink and a chat in the café while soaking up the Christmas atmosphere ☕🎄

We held our very own in-house Parkfield Nativity🎄

Residents took on the roles of Mary and Joseph, Shepherds and Kings, with our angels played by staff members Issi and Anne 🌟

It was a lovely performance, followed by a Christmas church service led by Carol and Rick from St John’s Church ✨

Parkfield was delighted to welcome friends from Kiddiecare Nursery for a special Christmas visit 💛

Residents loved spending time with the children and colouring festive pictures together. Residents also received Christmas gifts, kindly donated by their parents, such a thoughtful gesture ✨

A huge thank you to everyone at Kiddiecare Nursery for making the visit so special. We wish you all a very wonderful Christmas! 🎅

Residents from Parkfield were delighted to visit Glebe Primary School as part of our Equal Arts partnership.

We were invited to watch a wonderful Nativity performance by the nursery children and Year 2 pupils. It was a fantastic show that brought lots of smiles and festive cheer 🎄

We truly enjoyed the performance! 💛✨

Residents headed to the Beck Theatre in Hayes to watch the pantomime Dick Whittington 🎭 Oh yes we did! 😄

Accompanied by our Home Manager, we enjoyed lots of laughter and fun. It was a fantastic show, brilliantly performed by British Airways staff 🎉✨

We enjoyed a planned visit from David from the Home Library Service. The theme was Christmas, we explored festive items such as wrapping paper, decorations and other things we associate with the season🎄✨

This sparked meaningful conversations and many happy memories among our residents 💛✨
