Established over 16 years ago and now under new leadership offering an even better service, Parkfield House has undergone a magnificent refurbishment and offers first-class care for your loved one by a superb new nursing team.

We were delighted to welcome back our Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr Philip Corthorne, for a lovely afternoon tea and to present him with the raffle prize he won at our recent Garden Party 🌸✨

The Mayor spent time chatting with residents and staff, showing a keen interest in the history of our home as he looked through our archives. He even took the time to visit residents in their rooms for a friendly hello, which was so appreciated 💛

Our Moving World project has really started to take shape as of late with some wooden sculptures having been crafted by some of our residents and which are now proudly displayed in the trees in the garden. Our inspiration has come from Hannah's dance sessions as well as the contemporary sculptors Doug Cocker and Philyda Barlow and one of our residents shared, 'I'm in my element painting'

We've really enjoyed having a visit from Oak Farm Library this week who kindly gave us a demonstration on how to set up online digital access to not only books, magazines and newspapers but also to audio books and online classes should anyone be interested in learning a new language.

We went to Flower Land Garden Centre and what a treat it was 💐

Residents enjoyed browsing the beautiful winter pansies and flowers, while Joan and Kenneth had fun admiring the quirky animal ornaments 😁

We rounded off the afternoon with a cosy stop in the coffee shop with hot drinks, treats and lots of chatter. A truly lovely afternoon for all💛

We had a lovely afternoon outing with two of our residents to the local Starbucks coffee shop. We managed to dodge the rain showers and enjoyed a refreshing walk in the fresh air along the way 🌿

One of our residents tried his very first cappuccino and loved it! 😋 It was such a nice chance to relax, chat, and enjoy a cosy treat together.

Simple moments like these make for the most special memories 💛

🎨✨ Air-Dry Clay Project – 13th August ✨🎨

At Parkfield Nursing Home we got creative with an exciting new project using air-dry clay! 🏺💡

Our talented Activities Coordinator Sima, gave a brilliant demonstration, showing residents how to shape and design a variety of pieces. Over the coming months, we’ll be working on lots of wonderful creations – from jewellery and fridge magnets to photo frames and more.

The aim is to have everything ready for a special Christmas Exhibition, where we’ll showcase all the amazing artwork our residents have made. 🎄❤️

We can’t wait to see the creativity unfold and share the journey with you all!

🎶 Thank You for the Music! 🎶

Parkfield House Nursing Home was treated to a fabulous show by the amazing Rah Rah Theatre Company – a lively tribute to ABBA! 💛✨

It wasn’t just the classic hits that had everyone smiling, there was comedy, laughter, and plenty of resident and staff participation. From singing along to Dancing Queen to chair dancing in style, the room was full of joy and energy.

The feedback? “It was a fantastic show!” 🥳

A big thank you to Rah Rah Theatre for such a fun-filled afternoon – you truly made our day! 💃🕺
